Sadly, the rankings I like and the results of the popularity poll do not match.

However, apart from my personal feelings, LP has to make a game to match the results of the popularity poll.

That's why he runs the popularity poll, and the voters are big sponsors.

But, judging from the results so far, he does not make games according to the results of the popularity vote.

Marie and Emma are consistently at the bottom, but LP is trying to create a single event for them.

Conversely, the subway thugs are consistently in the upper-middle ranks, but LP doesn't show them off anymore.

If delving deeper into this, there could be many discussions, but the above mentioned is a prime example of him disregarding the popularity poll.
One of the reasons I really like about this game is, the devs DON'T ask me to write for them. Serious! Because if I did, then I know what would happen... I like this game because despite all the "little" things it's a good game. It's a roller coaster of good plot, bad plot, hits and misses.

Anyone ever watch, "Game of Thrones?" How many like seasons 1-3 better than the last seasons? I was lucky my favorite characters made it to the end... So come the end of this game, I will either be happy, or disappointed.

But in the end, like in "Game of Thrones," my input didn't matter-- my only vote I had been with my wallet, and in the grander scheme of things, it's a pretty poor bit of leverage. Because what will happen, will happen or so says the devs, polls be damn--LOL!

The dev literally told us,Sam will be among the last to have sex with Sophia.Maybe only before the movers.
Life is change... change is life and people's minds can change. Or the plot forces a change in plans...even with Sam. If it was absolutely set in stone that Sam is "last" it would mean the following:

A) the devs are going to stop with Dylan and move on to ALL the other plots, subplots, or creating new ones. SO sometime right around this time of year in 2024, Sam & Dylan are up

B) the devs don't give any alone time with Sam and Sophia

C) When, where and why, Sophia is "passed around," the devs left open the pregnancy element. Remember Sophia and Liam still are using the condom and made it clear that once things get settled with work, having another kid is in the offering. So, by the setting in stone Sam is Last or among the last, the old men, the Myer's boys, the janitor, the mobster, or etc... etc... are going to get the job done before Sam gets a chance to unleash the tadpoles

D) Regardless of A, B, or C, there still is the "Good Wife" content to crank out. And recall Liam has also brought up wife sharing with the soon to be blushing bride and her to be husband--plots already part of the storyline that some don't care about and rather not take that path. That's what? Some 90days of programing and rendering?

E) Assume the devs wake up one morning, make a really good and strong cup of coffee and realize the issues of A, B, C, and D, they are going to see a MAJOR plausibility plot hole in their whole story. Because, unlike Sophia's other love interests, she actually has stronger feelings for Sam. So if the ending is where Sam and Sophia ride off into the sunset hand-in-hand, then the devs just laid a stinker of an egg.

One could make the argument that the earlier GoT seasons were also based off written source material, but at some point, because GRR Martin couldnt be bothered to write more, the seasons went off in the weeds and were asspulling shit based on nothing.

Similarly, L&P probably had a decent plot writeup to a point, and that was largely reflected in much of the earlier game. But at some point, it feels like it just started meandering and getting filled with redundant side characters and half baked scenarios.

It's fairly easy to tell when that point is: the release of the afternoon/evening update of PD11. This is when the story got thrown out the window and began the turn into your typical teen porn game. With the introduction of the Dylan/Marie path and Dylan's POV, this is where L&P doubles down on focusing on Dylan content. And focusing on Dylan content at the expense of other characters, even Sophia.
And just after the release of this update, he even backtracks on it, removing one of the events (the Twist) because it upset Dylan fans.

I'm not sure if I understood your post correctly.

If you want to say that it doesn't matter if the voting result doesn't affect the game, I'd say no.

Voting is a reward given to high-tier sponsors of £15 or more.

If voting results are not reflected in game development, there is no need to vote.

Because sponsors aren't voting to send Dylan to America's Got Talent.

I think he deviated from the original plan due to financial motivations, i think he is using shota and incest content left and right for that same reason. He is adjusting the story to meet his clients expectations. He is making more money like that but he is also ruining the story.

In any case, AWAM has to become more streamlined. There are just too many stories.

I wouldn't base the selection solely on the popularity of individual characters, but rather on which stories you really need to tell the story of Sophia as a wife and mother. Then characters like Liam or Amber are important, because they are strongly tied to the main story and give the game more depth.

However, characters that simply represent a certain kink, but otherwise have almost nothing to do with the main story, are unnecessary. Here I see especially the two sides jobs, Emma, the mafia story, Aiden, etc. etc.
Agreed, absolutely way to much unnecessary nonsense.
After doing test runs with um, think it's called Motel.. can't remember off hand.
Gave this a go and hung in there best i could, with all the crappy filler side-stories but......

Got to Aden, with that terrible hair and said.. oh HAIL NO!!
This is just, NO.. FAWK NO....DELETE!!

For those of You into this, hope the Dev hits it outta the Park for ya ALL.
Best Wishes(y)

I am critical of this developer.

But when I criticize a developer, I base my criticism on his words and the games he makes.

We never know if he will win the lottery, if he will change his development plan or if he will change his mind.

1. There is no evidence, and no reason, that a new plot will emerge after the Dylan story. till now.

2. So far neither Sophia nor Sam has any reason to involve anyone else in their relationship.

3. So far, only Liam, Dylan, Sam, and Natalie are likely to have sex with Sophia, and only Aiden's gang is likely to be added.

4. And I think the only story in this game without holes in plausibility is the story of Sam and Sophia.

You are referring to the Dylan POV during the yoga event, I presume? I remember having some pretty strong thoughts on that particular piece of shit writing. Though I believe the first time the Dylan POV poked it's head up was the fixing Ellie's computer scene.

Doing the whole yoga event from two perspectives was a childish hackneyed decision and a complete waste of your (and our) time. What on earth were you thinking? What is the rationale for changing the point of view?

From Sophia's point of view, I get dialogue and (some, but not much) development. The changing room, the yoga and the shower scenes were all high quality, erotic, and continue the slow-burn build up. Nice.

From Dylan's perspective, I learned that Dylan, an ['over 18 years old'] boy is horny as hell and gets a woody when fantastically attractive women put on skin tight clothing and gyrate and stick their asses up in the air. Since that's true of just about every boy his age, I didn't actually learn anything at all about him. To your credit, I did learn that side boob is good but man o man wouldn't full frontal be better. And spying in the shower? Come on, that is some weak, lame, cut-and-paste bullshit, a routine that has played out in cinema (not to mention a substantial percentage of adult VN games) hundreds of times dating back to at least the mid-1970's. At least in Revenge of the Nerds it was part of an actual revenge plot carried out by actual nerds.

Honestly, and I dare you to actually be honest: what the heck were you thinking when you decided that dross was worthy of your talent? You should be embarrassed that didn't get cut from the script before you even finished typing it out.

A Wife and Mother has so much going for it, but for the love of all that is good in the universe, and so we may continue to count A Wife and Mother among all that is good in the universe, learn to edit yourself.

I was referring to the yoga event from Dylan's POV, but now that you mention it, I think the bonus storyline started that update too.
