Becareful what youy wish for... maybe the models will be more lifelike... but the originality will die as artists stop doing this.. AI is not the answer... It spells the death of it.

Becoming more life-like means that AI will be able to create 8 billion faces.
On the other hand, Sophia's face is only a product for sale, and several creators, including L&P, are purchasing Sophia's face and creating games.

I don't think you understand the software used for producing the games. Yes, Sophia is a model made by others for use by anyone who wants to purchase it. However, an artist can start from a blank model in the same software and make their own character completely from scratch... Meaning a human artist can also create the same 8 billion faces if they choose... AI, and let's be clear, we are actually talking about AGI, only generates what it can find already done by others (Humans).. A human artist can produce something from nothing, from an imagined idea from their own mind... No AGI can do this.

If humans can create 8 billion faces, AI can create 8 billion faces too.
However, humans have to work very hard to find new faces, but AI doesn't have to.
How long do you think it would take to create 20 faces?
AI can do it in an hour.
And you hold the horse by the tail and deny the era of automobiles, but in the end, times change for the sake of efficiency.
I understand that the previous author was talking about personalized AI or AI that responds to individual needs.
