Just talked to L&P and he said that the last 5% isn't him coding but looking for ways to make sure that the update doesn't get leaked. The update is ready but he is trying to add security features to make sure the rats are unable to leak the update which sadly for him will leak anyway.

If he's really concerned, dude should start using DRM like the rest of the bigger players. But it's hard being cheap I guess

TBH, If he gives an update every month, he will even get more subs. rather than caring about rats. Rats are everywhere. Even rats are fed up and becoming heroes in this group because of the time he takes for each mini update.
With the slow dev process, This game will either gets abandoned or gets completed by 2040 with the current storylines.
