Remember that, almost every dev always do that once they have a good number of suscriptions, L&P it's not different. Doesnt matter if he have 100 gpu. He will only increase Render numbers, increase quality and resolution, but still the same release time 6 months now.

It's justifiable to some extent considering the scene is really heavy. And though I still think the last teaser was not interesting, from a creative pov that is one really difficult render imo.
