You need a save file from Part 1 in order to start Part 2. You need to finish Part 1 and the game will prompt you to save, and then Part 2 will automatically load this new save file when you select Start New Game.

But but... the slide at the start said 20. Oh my... am i confused now. I wonder why the jump in time.
Anyway, i think i will leave that game as it is for now. I am replaying at the moment the game to see some outcomes i perhaps missed. And i check the days, just to make sure.
I don't understand how to play the next update. it just says : sophia showered, sophia taught english. Sophia had an unextraordinary day. to be continued.
Part 1 which is 1.50 will have the option to carry over your save file from part one to part two. If your 1.50 shows "part 1" in the start screen of the game, then you are good to go, if it is plain, then you need to download the patch where you can update the game to attain the ability to carry over your saves to the part 2.
Paste and copy your previous save files on the correct folder as shown on part 2
just playing version 1.60 (part 2) without downloading part 1 you can see the scenes described by those who installed version 1.50 again and did all the steps to play part 2. if you just click on the lock and it opens the scene. and it is seen if it is worth all that embarrassment of folders.

even i in covid lockdown have done more things at home than Sophia in this game. and by commenting here, i just did more than Sophia in this update.

This game takes me back to the glorious days of my childhood, where I'm sitting in a 90 degree station wagon asking "are we there yet" and the answer, as always, is NO!

You're confused because there's two different ways to count. Early in the game there was a time skip of 7 days. So, when people say that we're on day 13, what they really mean is that we're on Playable Day 13. The slide at the beginning of Part 2 doesn't look at it like that, and instead counts it as Day 20 for the Parker family in their new home.
Both ways of counting are correct, but usually we use the Playable Day as the reference point. Since the game is only scheduled to last 30 days, there's value in counting those as playable days, otherwise there would only be 10 days left in the game instead of 17.
