why are you defending a publisher on a website that exists to ripoff that publisher, i swear such a bizarre culture here sometimes....I can't imagine people touting the benefits of the RIAA back in the napster days........ either everyone's become more corporate or I've gotten old....
I'm not sure what the intent is with these people saying we have to pay for us to be able to talk.

It's REALLY weird.

Assuming you want to be able to pay your bills by selling monthly access to a thing you made. Some not-quite-commercial website grabs the thing you made and provides it for free without giving you anything back. Which kind of respect would you grant the people on said not-quite-commercial website?

Patreon is easy to understand: you show respect to a developer - the developer shows respect to you.
Show respect or get none back. Easy, isn't it?
Let me put it this way. I wont mention the game, those that know me will know who I'm talking about, but there's a dev I discovered on this website who is almost the exact opposite to L&P. Only similarity is that their English isn't great.

But this is a dev that is interactive on the thread, loyal to their fans, and pumps out renders at something like 21/day. It's rare that an update takes longer than 3 weeks. I only play about a third of an update and still get content for my playthrough every single time. They've answered questions politely, even when they're copping heat for their game not fulfilling whatever specific kink someone wants.

Not the joke of a half dozen renders for the entire year.

That dev I've financially supported for a while now. That is a dev that shows respect, so deserves respect.

What do we get from L&P? Disdain for fan artists, and on the rare times they post here, only excuses. For many years, only vague answers to fan questions. Bloated updates that take far longer than they should. You seriously think that deserves respect? I've said a few times what it would take for me to become a financial supporter, and L&P has done the complete opposite.

This game had so much potential, and I'd love to become a financial supporter, but there are devs out there that deserve it more.

I'm not the one demanding respect. However, I'm delighted to see that you decided to join my fight against people with an attitude.
Wake up dude, it's the internet (the bottom of it), where virtue prevails. The opinions of these people are too important to not be shared 5 times a day with the rest of us. And don't you dare think differently. Or you will be hanged

It’s always the Newbies.
The term "pirate" has been romanticized time and again by writers and Hollywood. Pirates were/are freeloaders or poor pigs at best.
Now here's the thing, support games but am also a pirate/parasite at the same time. I play more games than I support developers, simply because I can't afford it financially. This means that I rely on the generosity of supporters and developers, just as I don't mind other players/pirates benefiting from my financial support.
Why I support a game and for how long or not is just my business. A pirate/parasite can/can criticize me for that, but when insults are made, these people here are just protecting their anonymity from drastic measures.
May I criticize a developer I do not support. IN ANY CASE! A pirate/parasite who is unhappy about the pace of development can/should/must be able to say so here. But the person should also be aware that his position in this case is quite weak, or vulnerable. And if someone then points out this critic, it has nothing to do with the fact that he is a newbie.

come on L&¨i want to see the 100%
This is the post you two are trying to make a big drama of, lurkin and karleston.

Maybe you should increase your donation?
Then please don't be a dick towards the developer. You have not earned the right to be a dick towards the developer.

"You must respect me because I say so, regardless of whether I respect your intellectual property" is not an argument.
I totally encourage said ripoff; in fact, I would not even know A Wife and Mother without this website and its rip..off..ers(?). However, knowing that I don't want to pay for a thing that has a price tag (namely, A Wife and Mother), I accept that I'm in no good position to tell the developer what to do when.

Face it: Neither are most of you.

So much nonsense about a post from a dude who is possibly the most positive guy in this entire thread. lockerxx has always been a happy lil' fella, and you completely misunderstood his post for a "demand" and being "disrespectful". He's basically cheering L&P on, but you fail to see it.

If you wanna have a go at it, do it with the right people. He's just a fan of this game and I've never seen him talk shit about L&P, even though he deserves all the shit like barely any other developer does. So much for respect.

You're not demanding respect, huh? Right, you demand respect for someone else. Yeah respect is a two way street, and L&P managed to kick it with feet very early on, and continues to do so whenever he comes here. Besides, do you realize that without websites like F95, L&P wouldn't have anything? These kinda platforms are where most adult VN developers start their careers. This is where they get their free PR. So if anything, the people running F95 should be respected, not a developer who is constantly lying to his supporters and being a massive pain in the arse to communicate with.

Wake up dude, it's the internet (the bottom of it), where virtue prevails. The opinions of these people are too important to not be shared 5 times a day with the rest of us. And don't you dare think differently. Or you will be hanged
Why am I not surprised to see your name pop up in this nonsense...

Lurkin,

I actually Do support L&P/AWAM, but on SS, not Patreon.

Basic respect from L&P is an interesting concept - respect should be a two-way street - right?

Please try the following and do a comparison.

Go to page 1 and open both the Patreon and SS links for AWAM, then look at both of them.

Do you notice that those who support L&P with $ on SS don't get the same content as those who support L&P on Patreon?

Did you notice that those who support AWAM on SS didn't even get a chance to vote on Sohia's new hairstyle (just an easy example to point out the difference between what supporters get on Patreon versus SS)?

Whether or not our votes really count is irrelevant to this discussion... either L&P is So lazy that he cannot bother treating all supporters equally or he just does not care (but that would be disrespectful...).

He refuses to build a team for development of AWAM - but with all the $ he has coming in; how hard would it be to hire someone to make sure that his store fronts (Patreon and SS) actually support each other by showcasing the same product equally well?

If you look at the comparison I recommended above - it is not an issue of what tier, you supported at on SS... There is no option to take the poll for ANY of the tiers while Patreon allows participation at tier 2 (the $6 tier) of the 6 tiers noted on Patreon.

Is this showing respect to Paying SS supporters??

I've written about other examples showing L&P's lack of respect for his paying supporters so I will not rehash them in detail here (animations won't slow down development - Hah!).

Now, having looked at what I was talking about above - do you think L&P is showing ALL his paying supporters respect?

Where can we find your better, faster game?

The problem with AWAM is primarily poor project management. If you scale the current development speed over the number of unfinised game days, you get somewhere between 30-40 years of remaining development time, depending on the calculation. So it's not so much about how many images are created per day on average, but more about how realistic the completion of the game itself is. A faster development, e.g. through a division of work over 2-3 developers, would be a possibility. But I think that L&P should also cancel some of the side stories or at least move them to a DLC developed after the base story is finished. This would reduce the risk of ending up with only unfinished stories.

The problem with AWAM, first of all, is that L&P is criticized and told what needs to be done, not by those people who have their own experience of creating games, but by those who consider themselves smarter than others.

Except that those of us that are being critical aren't saying that we could do it better job. If I'm talking about how bloated this playable day has become, it's in comparison to previous updates. I really don't see why L&P can budget for say a Dylan/Emma event, or an Ellie event, and make it in a timely manner, but an Aiden event is allowed to balloon to three times budget.

When we say that L&P is getting slower, it's compared to what he's done in the past. He's gone from around 9 renders/day five years ago to around 3 at the moment. He himself can and has worked faster, when he had less assets and experience.

I don't need to have experience myself. I'm no writer. But there are other devs that do have the experience. And that's where I put my money. I don't need to be a game dev for that.

Anyone with a basic knowledge of maths can see that L&P underestimated the timeframe of his project. You don't have to be a game developer to understand that. Especially because the way L&P is programming is quite simple (just a very very long spaghetti code).

Also, It is important to recognise that L&P has no finished project to show. If there were two or three finished games, then you could say that L&P really knows how to finish something like that. But there are not. One thing is clear: The remaining development time needs to be reduced to an at least halfway reasonable level for the project to have a realistic chance of ever being completed. As long as that doesn't happen, there will always be people who point out that something is wrong.

Guys, you may have noticed that lately I have become less likely to comment on this branch, on branches dedicated to other games I do not leave my comments at all.
I am interested in discussing the game, its plot, reading various analytical calculations of fans, but I do not support those who continue to say one thing for years, telling L&P what to do.
Whether you want to admit it or not, but the plot moves on, L&P continues to do what he likes and how he wants to do it. This does not mean that I am against criticism of the developer and I understand all your comments, but it seems to me that repeating the same thing over and over again is not worth it, there is no point in it.
In addition, my comment above, which palmface received from you, is completely fair. I have been on this forum for a long time and I see a lot of specialists giving instructions and recommendations to L& P on how to create his own game. But there are practically no people among these people who do it better than L&P. This is a fact, whether you like it or not.
Best wishes to all AWAM lovers.

After so many years without any sex scenes without any stable updates
and without any information how much time this game will take to finish
some people still defending him why? what are your basis?
I have lost almost all of my interest because of time duration between updates
atleast critisize him for his failures ( SORRY FOR GRAMMER IF WRONG )

Is that on this new update
Nice joke:)
But more seriously-the lesbian even on PD15 is probably at least 2 years away, meybe 3.
For PD16 lesbian scene add another year. Also probably that scene will be Ellie/Julia.
Actually from the scenes you are asking for
1. Sophia and Patricia having lesbian sex. 2. Elle and Dylan having sex. or 3. Sophia and Elle having lesbian sex
There is very big chance we will see only number 1.
The other 2 scenes probably will be in the last third of the game-10-15 years away.
