Your argument is simply missing the point. A game, no matter how good it is or however great the story may be has almost no value if it is not finished. Especially for projects that exceed a certain size (or development time), project planning is therefore extremely important.Guys, you may have noticed that lately I have become less likely to comment on this branch, on branches dedicated to other games I do not leave my comments at all.
I am interested in discussing the game, its plot, reading various analytical calculations of fans, but I do not support those who continue to say one thing for years, telling L&P what to do.
Whether you want to admit it or not, but the plot moves on, L&P continues to do what he likes and how he wants to do it. This does not mean that I am against criticism of the developer and I understand all your comments, but it seems to me that repeating the same thing over and over again is not worth it, there is no point in it.
In addition, my comment above, which palmface received from you, is completely fair. I have been on this forum for a long time and I see a lot of specialists giving instructions and recommendations to L& P on how to create his own game. But there are practically no people among these people who do it better than L&P. This is a fact, whether you like it or not.
Best wishes to all AWAM lovers.
The problem is quite simple. When a project is so thin on staff and runs as long (maybe 30-40 years) as AWAM would have to at the current development speed, it is almost guaranteed to be abandoned. Then even the best story and the best images won't help, if in the end not a single story line is actually completed. From my point of view, this means that we should really only talk about the inability of L&P in terms of project management and just give weight to the content of the game when this issue is is solved. .... Again, and now more seriously, the topic is important and, even if only to warn potential backers, it should continue to be discussed here, I think.
BTW, I always give a face palm to anyone who tries to suppress a discussion. If at all, that is the task of the moderation.
