For the story line coming off of the date with Sophia, wouldn't you think it would be better to have a small event of having the talk with Dylan in the morning? Hopefully, the developer sees this and your thread because the audience is left hanging from the previous night's activities. There Sophia is torn with guilt and remorse after the hot tub scene, but we are also treated to Sophia's inner thoughts as she tries to explain the events to herself-- in one of those inner monologues she admits or questions had she crossed a redline and asks herself if not now, then when...

As a writing device for developing a plot, a writer has to throw the 800-pound gorilla out of the room before it takes a dump in the living room--that is a lot of cleanup.

And to be fair it doesn't need a whole lot of detail and work to address that plot hole. It can be a little scene where Sophia just apologies again and asks Dylan not to tell anyone and that it wouldn't happen again... Or a more confident Dylan can thwart the talk and make a pass at Sophia. Nothing else needs to happen in such a scene because its morning and Ellie and Liam are home. But if a little "something" does happen during the talk, it can move the story plot more forward to were crossing the redline is a near certainty and Sophia can anguish over her conscience about what is likely to happen for the next few releases.
What I think makes sense storywise, and how things turn out is chalk and cheese. Sure, it might make the most sense for Sophia to have a talk with Dylan in the morning, but that's not what's going to happen. There is no Dylan event in the morning. There are two small events in the morning, but they're for the Ellie and Sam routes.

To suggest otherwise is just ignoring evidence.

This update is "still evening", not "next morning".
And it's not about the continuation/ending of the Dylan/Sophia events, but about Dylan's "different choice."

There are many victims on this forum.

There are people who are fans of Ellie or Ellie's lesbian scenes, they have been on hiatus for years and are waiting for a follow-up story.

There are people waiting for side jobs.

Those waiting for Bennett have already been forgotten years ago, and they know that they will only see him again by the end of the game.

Larry's fans are still disappointed that he appeared in only one episode and then was deleted.

You have to adapt to having individual stories interrupted from time to time in this way.

This is the complaint of many people, but it has not been fixed and will not be fixed.

You will get the story you want within one year or two.

AWAM is gradually becoming a soap opera… It started with big episodes and a lot of content and now it has short episodes with very little content… Like all soap operas it is expected to last for years (34 approximately) so that you can see the end!!!

So, if six years ago it started you were 20 then you’ll be 60 when it finishes… In the meantime you’ll get married, have children and your children will become adults and start their own life. Then will come the time you will say: “Finally, let me enjoy the game from start to finish!” :p

I've been saying this for years. There's only a minority of fans, (I don't care how popular Dylan is, his fans form a voting bloc but that doesn't make them the majority), who are being provided with a story that can be followed in any normal kind of way, i.e. those who like incest & those who want Dylan as the real MC, often one & the same. They are the big winners, if anybody can still be described as such, especially during this "night without end," that PD13 has become.

Meanwhile, there are others, (yes, incl. me), who have no game & nothing in prospect, sometimes for over a decade. At the same time, Sophia has morphed into a mainly brain-dead supporting role. Speaking of support, she's also morphed into a walking, talking, pair of "milk jugs," (classy? ....in this game with "class"), for Dylan to cum & suck on. If things run their already trailed & predictable course, he'll probably drink from them as well, (after he's made her pregnant, ...essential to average teen porn incest sagas), just like he did when he was a baby, (diddums). That's still several decades away, however, by which time his tween/teenage fans will be raising little Dylans & Ellies of their own & have adult kinks, having gained sexual experience & awareness beyond the oedipal fixation. Who said the Dev doesn't do irony?

I would like to add something to this comment.

I think this developer or some people are mistaken about the voting results for each character.

I don't think that just because Dylan's poll numbers are high, this developer or some people shouldn't take that to mean "people want Dylan's solo story."

That's as absurd as saying that people who voted for Murray want his story alone.
The reason Dylan and Ellie are so popular is because they fall into the "incest" category, and incest is only possible if there is a partner involved.

And there is a partner involved is “Sophia.”

Sophia is not on the voting list because Sophia is the basic premise in all human relationships.

However, now this developer or some group has forgotten that, and as a result, an event without Sophia occurs.
And episodes without Sophia will continue to be produced in the future.

Dylan/Patricia, Dylan/Marie, Dylan/Ellie, etc. don't need Sophia.
Like Dylan/Amber and Dylan/Marie.

This is a result of what the developer said: “Dylan is also an MC.”

And we know that Ellie will also become an MC, which suggests that Ellie's solo story is also possible.

I have no expectations for version 0.195 and am feeling a bit tired.
So I tried to take a wait-and-see approach, but I'm still negative about this episode.

I like your take on this. AWAM was (for the first four or five years) developed as a VN with a single POV as its primary driver for the narrative. One of the bigger problems we have now is that it isn't.

If the VN started with individual story lines from the outset, following a soap opera structure - Sophia's GW, Lesbian and Incest POVs, Dylan's POV, and (probably) Ellie's POV - then a collection of vignettes progressing out of these seeded ideas could be completely satisfying. It would allow for the individual POVs to overlap and weave together or digress with no implications on the other story lines and no dependency on other choices.

The story has definitely been abandoned , certainly structurally. The event-based release have left us with nothing more than stand alone vignettes that are barely, arguably not at all, bound to some narrative through line.

Don't blame the devs, blame the community, everyone should just join together and push the dev to just do sex scene next update or else he will lose all support. That's the only way if not, it's not going to change.

Samurai has no goal, only a path

So he just moves.

He makes money when he just moves,
not when it's finished.

This is his goal - movement.

But on the other hand, Unreal or another engine in 5-10 years will create all this in real 3D (I would like).

For this reason, he wants to switch to STEAM, because he does not have 30 years at his disposal

That's right, at the end of the Sophia/Dylan scene we see a Sophia who is consumed by guilt, shame and regret and it seems that in some images she can no longer think clearly.
Now the next day we not only have a new Dylan event but before that (if nothing changes!!!!!) an Elli event and the two part-time jobs. L&P has always tried to tell the routes in such a way that you get the impression that there are no connections between them, but the chronological order of the individual events still remains a big problem here.
Sophia can't, for example, make the old men cum and have a serious conversation with her son about morals and decency at the subsequent event with Dylan.
Even with this event-based narrative, which Talcum Powder has already complained about again in his post, this will create a break, a stumbling block, that many people cannot ignore, people for whom the story is just as important as those in it (still does not) contain explicit sex scenes (penetration scenes).

So I asked L&P exactly that! As is often the case, his answer was open to wide interpretation. "Actually, the guilty conscience is usually even greater the next morning than the evening before (grin)..."

This answer doesn't reveal anything about the rest of the story, but it shows, at least to me, that L&P is aware of the "problem" at this point and that he didn't let the Dylan/Sophia event end like this without having an "exit strategy" in mind .

As for your suggestion of solving this problem with a conversation between Sophia and Dylan, I don't think that will be effective. On the one hand, this conversation can only end in such a way that Sophia swears to Dylan that what happened last evening must never happen again. And it won't lessen their guilt and regret.

So my solution would be to have a quick chat with Liam in the morning. This time Sophia wakes up with Liam. If nothing happened, Liam wishes Sophia a nice day and goes to work. But if Sophia was sitting in front of the TV the night before, Liam will mention that he woke up briefly during the night but didn't find Sophia in bed yet. Sophia can now either tell him, depending on Dylan's decision the night before, that she watched TV or that she went out to dinner with Dylan. Dylan saw her sitting in front of the TV and decided not to go to the party but to cheer up his mother.
If you let Liam react the way he did in the bathroom the day before, namely by mocking his son for preferring to go out with his mother than meet a girl his own age at a party, Sophia would react quite angrily and this would be one To counterbalance their shame/guilt/remorse.

The effort for this short event would be limited, just a few pictures and a little text.
But while it's just a speculation how this could be solved, there are certainly better ones. And since I've been wrong so often in my previous speculations, I wouldn't take myself too seriously.

IMHO, his shtick with Steam is a safety cushion, as he's planning to continue gradually deteriorating his "development" process.
So, currently his patrons are partially paying for his Steam work (revamping, removing problematic content, filling the gaps). Then, when he re-sells 80% existing content to fresh audience on Steam (Part 1), it will start paying for his even more sliding effort on Part 2, which he will eventually re-sell too, and retire with a hefty investment fund paying him dividends.
Not too bad for a moron, but I guess he has a good council there, in "Switzerland", lol.
