Won't happen, he's adding in more and more "feature creep" cause it's making him money. Until it no longer nets him a large sum, he will not ever stop doing things they way he currently is.
There was no intention to speed up development time. He's been actively doing the exact opposite for years now that has deliberately slowed his development pace to a crawl. Money. That is the only reason why. He realized how stupid people are once they kept throwing it at him in a large quantity on patreon, regardless of how small the updates are, or how long it took him to develop. This is nothing uncommon either. There are many devs on the indie side and triple a side of game development that pull similar nonsense just to make a quick buck.
Its getting pathetic at this point. The branches make it even worse. Imagine playing the lesbian path and your scene gets cut short because some fucking dudebro walks in.
This is what everyone was saying would happen, and it fucking happened lol.

You can just do what i do with all the devs that have stalled out their development, pop in a couple times a month and see whats happening (probably nothing as always)

You need to play dylans POV in the Yoga event. Its fucking stupid needless path splitting. Just let us do both POVs and view the (already) limited content.
And i'm here to remind you, that it is 5 years and 2 months after the initial release.

What really gets me about this whole thing is that all these branching paths aren't exactly necessary. He could focus on a few specific ones for this game and finish the main story with Sophia. He'd have a completed VN/Game under his belt and could then go on to make AWAM 2 or other games set in the same place with some of the other characters and tell more stories without dragging shit out the way he is. All those branching paths could also be told in those other potential games as happening at the same time since it's all in the same setting. He could show what was happening with other characters and be able to focus solely on those paths. Doing it the way he is right now, this game will never be finished before I hit 50 years old. That's about another decade down the road for me and that is both sad and absurd for any developer to have as a goal. No audience is going to stick around that long or throw money at you for that long (except chris roberts cause he's a douchebag car salesman that knows how to dupe people).
That all being said, i cut my support of his patreon a couple years back when i realized what he was doing. He's only gotten worse just like many of us tried to warn people. Some of us even made the attempt at reason to see if the dev would listen to us about speeding up development time. Not just on here but over on patreon. It just isn't going to happen though, thus why i mostly read this thread now for the lulz it provides. I honestly had great hope this dev was going to be like Mr. Dots at the very least, blueball people for about a year and then start getting down to the sexual scenes. That way he could show off his writing talent that people would be able to trust he'd turn out quality content. Sadly, there are just too many stupid people that are all too willing to throw money at a thing or person regardless of how blatant they're being fucked over in the process.

I'm one of those playing the lesbian path. Just want Sophie x Ellie content already but he's so focused on Sophie's son. Good thing I'm not a patreon member.
