When AWAM was the best piece of erotic 3D on the forum, a few years ago, it was presented in the form of a visual novel. It was directed at the widest age range of all those who enjoyed erotica. That's erotica, as opposed to straightforward porn. At the time it seemed that the multiple layered story had found a place in an over-saturated market place, or maybe even created a niche for itself. Bear in mind that back then, there was no issue with a glacial development pace. (I've written enough about all of this in previous comments, so won't rehash them).

While it progressed as a VN, with not only excellent renders but an above average style of writing, there existed the possibility that, slow burn notwithstanding, penetrative sex could be introduced in the storylines, without being seen as the climax, (pun intended), of the tale. Good erotica & porn novels achieve this, as do a number of quality films. Many of them don't finish with this event but actually get better & more immersive as a result. It's good writing & nobody with any experience thinks that it's easy.

AWAM has degenerated in a number of ways & without listing them, I think it's reasonable to say that, for whatever reason, the Dev has chosen to aim the "game", (event-based, sluggishly paced, updates have wrecked the "VN" concept), squarely at the younger market, with a by-the-numbers approach to sex, like a 13-14 year old school-boy keeping score of how far he gets. This has reached a point where it appears that all the main characters have to reach a similar level of progression before the story can move on. That is, move on to the next stage of sexual encounters. Sexual encounters which are, apparently, necessary in every long-awaited update, to placate the fans & to hell with a coherent story, as the recent nonsense proves that such a creation is no longer necessary.

There are some problematic issues with this approach. It's clear that the length of time to be taken before full-on sex occurs with the original joint-MC is one. Another is the probability that once the act is performed within a player's chosen route(s), interest is, indeed, likely to fade, or end completely, i.e. the schoolboy is no longer a virgin.

IMO, the real disappointment is not only the accelerating decline of what used to be great but the fact that there's now no chance of coming back from this, as it's too far gone. On the other hand, "Hey, it's just a porn game," "when's the next update?," etc., etc.

There are probably a thousand people who know everything better here. It's like in a football stadium, there are 50,000 referees and experts and they know everything better.

In the end it is L&P who had a very good idea for a project a few years ago and decided to start it. We all went with him and see for ourselves what that means. Let's face it, each of us would be in our head and our situation, would we do everything right and could we make it right for everyone and make everyone happy? It's damn difficult. I think he has a stubborn head and wanted too much, including money.

I want to be the last one to make him king or think everything's fine and I haven't given him any money yet. The game is just the way it is now, without fine lines, but with very good moments.

I would finish the game in two or three years, look back at what went wrong and start a new project with the whole new experience.

The man has a lot of potential.

If you don't agree to Aiden's tasks, then Dylan is sent to boarding school at the edge of the city. But is home on weekends. Which for me is unfortunate, because on the Ellie route she wants to sunbathe naked in the backyard. But she can't with Dylan around for whatever reason.

on average the render time is only about 30 hours per month (scene creation might be equal or around 50) and even though it's not a full time job, haven't he reached the goal of quitting university already?? so he should have full time on the game for a long time already.

Everyone is ignoring the pandemic effect. Many people had lots of hours at home, and time for AVNs available. The same happened with streamers and esports, their audience fell down as the pandemic finished and people are spending more hours in their real lifes. BADIK, Milfy City or AWAM have inflated numbers because they took advantage of those years, but they do not reflect the real state of AVNs in 2023. I guess all of them have patreons that are paying 5$/month, ddon't follow the game and they are not aware at all of the chargings.

Also you have the age problem. For me, as I found the game 1 year ago, I still have very very present the days when Dylan and Sam where youngsters who didn't knew how to swim and who though putting their hand on Sophia's hip while playing basketball was the end game for them. For me they are something around 13 and the slow developed kids, the geeks, not the chads of their promotion. Suddenly, in 3/4 days, they are about to have sexual experiences with the mother, and the girls around them are giving them relationships or sexual openings. For me its mind blowing because it makes absolutely no sense.

The game needs somekind of "5 years later..." to make any sense at all. Whitout it, all the Dylan and Sam are absolute SHIT lines. It's on the edge of legal consecuences. If you see Dylan or Sam as 17yo, if they are cool, have some swagger and nice bodies, you can understand certain degree of sexual attraction. Speak to any school teacher in real life, that attraction is real. But if you think of them as geeky 13s (as they were portrayed initially), this is creepy as fuck and if I was the neighbour who finds this out, I was calling social services and the police. This is not exciting incest, this is child abuse. The game faces this problem, if you watch the game from start to finish, its child abuse, if you only have last episodes in mind, then its unrealistic but posible with lots of perspective stretch and shity writting aceptance.

So the problem is that the author has to please 3 audience now. The steam puritans, the people who are tired of waiting for 6 years and want the sex scenes NOW, and the people like me that want a good novel and are not interested in exchanging shity writing for cheap short 3dcg porn clips. It's almost imposible. So as the game tries to stretch itself to cater all audiences, it's downfalling into shit.

The last flashback killed me, I must admit that my preference for this novel had fallen HEAVILY. It was top tier for me, but now it's low tier. For me this was the king of FMC NOVEL, now I know its going to be a soft porn clip once every 3 months. Nah, not worth. I think this is going in my mind to the same drawer as Milfy City, check randomly once a year or so if its already finished.

First of all, wrtitting the story and selling it can face real legal consequences. This "industry" is not an isolated island. Look at how many "real porn" html novels are spamming this days, some using Youtubers as avatars. It's a matter of time til one of those porn companies or individuals sue the creators.
