I think you missed the difference between the two, in Her Desire she is around people who are bit a little bit less reserved and people she has known for a long time.It also depends on how you present the MC (in her inner dialogs).
For example, Her Desire, the mother is very light, sensual and sexual, FOMO & YOLO, so when you take lewd paths, it is congruent, feels natural, and you enjoy the trip and put her in every posible sex scenario. She is not corrupted, she is just exploring and having fun, so that novel is about raising her buying temperature, her mood, opening more and more sex situations, and you want lots of them.
Here Sophia was presented as a conservative prude housewife, so extramarital sex should be hard, and extramarital sex + extreme ilegal taboo, should be extremely hard. It's not about sex, it's about her corruption.
I dont think its "too much sex or not enough" and we are never satisfied. For me is more about congruence and good character development. I can play full sexual quick scenes, or I can play full prude slow burn. What I hate is when I'm presented one idea, I invest time, and then the author betrays it.
In AWAM Sophia is living in a new city, where the temperature is a lot warmer than she is used to and people wear more revealing clothing than she is used to, she doesn't know too many people, just her neighbours and her sister, everyone she meets is more open in their sexuality than she is used to, she is slowly being 'corrupted' into this way of life. It for realistic reasons takes time, you can't just go from 'prudish' to 'hedonistic' in a matter of weeks.
