Are there issues with going from a Gen 3 to a Gen 8 model - ie will the transition be seamless or do we need to brace for Gen 8 Sophia to look different?
Will a Gen 8 model make posing easier?
Is mixing Gen 3 models with a Gen 8 model problematic?
Will there be an impact - positive or negative or no change - on development time?

I have a feeling that I think If Sophia is Sam's secret girlfriend, it will be much better to Sophia has had a jealous feeling about the relationship of Sam & her daughter Ellie. Actually my fantasy is having scenes that Sophia tries to take away Sam from Ellie and ruins their feelings and relation.

Not a dev, just a fan artist, but:
No real issues with going from Gen 3 to Gen 8. There are already tools to do it. Gen 8 to Gen 9 doesn't work well I've found. What will probably take time is fixing whatever texture problems L&P is talking about.
I enjoy Gen 8 because of the expressions, not so much posing.
There are scripts to convert Gen 3 poses to Gen 8 and back, so mixing the two isn't a problem..
Moving to Gen 8 might improve development time because of the access to better assets, but that might be negated by whatever time L&P spends on PS reworking the textures

The visuals have not been an issue for years now. The one thing that even I have admitted is that the game is visually terrific. To claim a need to change visuals again at the cost of...so much time...is insane.
Just make actual porn movies, man. At that point you're already at a dev cycle of 20+ YEARS for a dumbass porn story and the dev is "such perfectionist' that they need to add more time to the project on unnecessary stuff like that?
At that point just get out of the VN medium, weirdo lol. Just make porn, human porn, if these irrefutable facts of your insane VN development are the case. Just make real porn if this medium is so stifling to your endless perfectionism and pristine intellect.

They took months to drop an update where the main character isn't even in it lol. In a development that is on pace to take over 20 YEARS to make, they spent months making an update for side characters that they keep adding more of.
If we pretend that L&P isn't a milking sc*m artist, he/she is incredibly dim to the point of having a mental disability.
To not see that the main issue is that your dumb porn story will need another 15 years to make is wild. To not be able to see that and do everything you can to fix that ASAP is so dim witted that it's a disorder. To not be able to see that and think the problem is needing more characters or another update to the visuals is moronic.
But I don't think they're dumb, dim or moronic. They know exactly what they're doing.
