How easy is it for someone to construct a renpy based sandbox style game using original material from an abandoned project?

I think it's telling that one of my favourite games has just spent about a year getting reworked because the dev discovered there were too many routes, it was getting complicated, and each update was taking longer and longer to make.

But the latest update just dropped, so fans can look forward to more frequent updates. Of that game, not this.

Well that's his problem, a lot of people will choose C as from a far angle it looks familiar and familiar to everyone (because it's an old version, or minimally altered in terms of textures), but in my opinion A, needs to be considered, B is just shitty honestly
