No, sadly is right from my pov. The bar for a steam launch was actually already high enough and it was nice to know what was actually early access and what now might just be unfinished without the label.

And even then, they say "updates" (I'd have to look up the exact wording) need to be re-approved (as in the game). And updates can be added as DLC if they remake/rework or add content into the game that originally wasn't there, but it doesn't have to be a paid DLC.

The game was abandoned the day it hit Steam, which was Sep 27, 2023 (was actually before that since no updates had happened on Patreon either), so doubt it is much about the money since this developer never was making much, probably make more working at McDonalds.

I don't think it would be taken down from Steam though. They almost never do that for abandoned games, no matter how long it goes without new content.

Unfortunately as of yet, we still have to wait for the update there.
