The game itself isn't actually that bad, only things I'd really like to see added to the game would be the following:
  1. AI CG Images: You already get to generate your own character portrait, it seems like a huge missed opportunity to not let us generate CG images on demand for events in the game.
  2. Sexual Content: Very minimal, the scenes are pretty empty and more of a "you imagine the details" of what happened, while it is text-based so your imagination is meant to do a lot of the heavy lifting; good dialogue and narration can increase the quality a lot.
  3. Gameplay: Actually really good, I like it, only thing I'd want added are more miscellaneous(? idk if that's the right word) options for actions and story, side quests if you will. Currently its very linear and there's nothing outside of just going to the next layer except a few settlements which also don't contain a lot of unique content.
    1. For example, it'd be nice if there were more options for things to do on the surface; like part-time jobs you can do to earn a little money that you can use to help prepare for the Abyss by buying items, or earn a little money to help you climb back out of the Abyss from part-time jobs you find in settlements, BUT you shouldn't be able to earn too much money from them as a core mechanic of the game is finding relics and selling them and that shouldn't change, but having these options could work like a safety net if the player has fucked up and they don't have enough corruption or money to do anything but they don't want to let their character die and restart from scratch.
    2. Other things that could be added along side part-time jobs:
      1. Entertainment Events: E.g., cinemas/plays/restaurants/(date spots in general)/etc where you could take companions and use your time and/or money to pay for 'dates' to build your relationship with your companions and unlock CG events.
      2. Random interactive events: You already have random events in certain areas but they aren't interactive; at least the ones I've encountered.
      3. Exploration: Currently its very linear, maybe make it so that you need to explore floors first to find where their Wonders are, but if you buy a book detailing the known locations of them then you don't need to explore to find them. You could also add hidden Wonders that are undiscovered and not in the book. You could also make it so that you need to explore the floor you are on to find the path that descends to the lower floor.
      4. Random Exploration Events:
        1. When you are exploring a layer there's a chance you run into an enemy/hostile, but also the chance of having neutral or friendly encounters.
        2. Also consider making it so the player can randomly stumble upon old remains of past divers, where you can loot their bodies to see if they have any useful items, e.g., old water bottles/flasks(chance of making you sick if you drink but better than dehydration), a few Dubloons, relics(very rare, more valuable relics being even more rare), and older remains could have less valuables on them due to other divers finding them before you while newer remains have higher chances of having more valuable loot.
    3. Side Stories: Could be fun to add side story events and quest lines, would help with world building and making the world feel "alive" to the player. I did see one instance of this with the big mafia guy on the second(?) layer who wanted guild information or something. There might be more I haven't come across so maybe this bullet point is pointless .
  4. Game Time: Maybe rework the day system, split the day up into phases(e.g., morning, day, night) where certain options, events, actions, etc are only available during certain day phases. Current system isn't bad, just thought maybe adding a little variability would help players not feel like days are repetitive.
Well, that's my 2 cents on the game, I've never made a game like this so idk if my suggestions are dumb or just not feasible/too much work to implement. But otherwise, pretty solid game.
