like, whats the point of making it sad for no reason? it wouldve been one thing if it was a result of our choices, like the "bad" consequences you can get if you just bang everyone in DIK, but having a bad ending purely for a bad ending? what the fuck, dude, not cool to play us like that :(
Dude...the ending is a very happy one with a very good result. Time goes by, and everyone manages to be there for each other, survive, and recover. It's a VERY good and uplifting ending, especially considering the state of the player character at the start of the game.

Tragedy happens. Suffering happens. That's merely an inevitably reality of life. Everyone's going to die someday, guaranteed. What's not guaranteed is spending that time you do have with loved ones. The ending is a celebration with your lover and an honoring of the friend you both loved and had to say goodbye too soon to.

If all you got was doom and gloom, then you wasted your time playing this game and didn't learn a single thing.

BaDIK really lost me from go. I don't like the story, I don't like most of the characters, I don't like the writing, I don't like some of the things that are not optional (for example I would just turn around and go home before I'd join a fraternity). And overall I find it a sort of Baby Boomers wet dream of what university is like. I'm old but I know quite a few people in university and most of them either still live with their parents or are working 1.5 - 2 jobs so they can stay in university and in their spare time they like to sleep. So just sort of a total miss on all levels.
bro...this type of game is for soft snowflakes like you more than anyone, your little reality sounds so shit. Being a DIK is a very realistic portrayal of the American college experience. Only difference is the frequency with which things happen (everything in the game does happen irl, it just doesn't all happen in the same month), and a couple oddball things (like the CUMpetition)

If all you want is escape and gratification, Caribids (whose works I absolutely adore) is your guy way more. Of the major authors, Dr. Pink Cake is the most intentional of all of them of showing you something specific through life experiences. Every plot line, every thread is in his games are there for a reason.

I like this game, managed to fuck every woman so far (exept the hiv redhead girl) like a true stud, I fucked it up by not allowing my interest to date with my black bff and now that blue haired girl not only rejected to join my harem (2 main girls) but shes dating Dick (wich is worse than dating the black bff)
Also wtf is the point of achieving a threeway relationship if one of them is going to die in a random fire accident? fucking americans and their wooden houses just use concrete, but for real wtf a weg ending managed to piss me off

I didn't cry when I finished this game, I just felt like someone took my heart and squeeze it.

Here's my crunched version.

Image/audio/video quality is reduced to make shit smaller. This is not a perfect process and sometimes can break a game. You've been warned so no bitching.

I'm quite surprised that it's supposedly from the same author as Being a Dik.
It is really smooth play - stellar opposite of the Dik.
Crazy how one person can be responsible for both best 5% game and worst 5% one.

Although there is a mistake that renders this game unplayable for autists like me: in volleyball scene enemy fuckers touch the ball 4 times. Need fix asap.

Everyone is gangsta until the fire starts and then the AVN turns into a heavy gloomy cloud. The message of this game is the importance of conformism, if someone is bullying you, oblivious you can't comfort yourself and you have to fight against it, but what about death? You can't redo it, you can't fight against it when the death is sealed, the only way is to conform yourself and keep walking, and is hard as fuck. I don't consider this adult visual novel porn, it's nothing but a sad adult lesson, but a good one.

You might be right.

The problem is that someone looking for a sad adult lesson, usually doesn't seek it in a porn VN... :HideThePain: So, that lesson is simply out of place in a porn game, as you seem to agree when you say you don't even consider this porn.

I would add that trying to deliver a sad adult lesson disguising it as a porn VN (just because porn sells better than sad stories) is misleading and unfair to his public.

It's like trying to trick your toddler into eatign vegetables by doing this...
Brussels sprouts disguised as Ferrero Rochers.jpg

...he's gonna be very disappointed! :HideThePain: :HideThePain: :HideThePain:
