Only the sphinx can take down that barrier, you have to rebuild her tower.I am at the same point. Entered the correct passwort (mellon), the gate opened, but I get the same message "A strange force of vast magic swells through the trees. An imposing barrier. Impossible to pass for a mere human.".

It's not actually abandoned, just for the record. It was tagged that way automatically.Sad to always watch games getting the abandoned tag but I didn't feel this game, it was a weird mix for me between exploration and RPG with real porn and no aim... like no true management or RPG stats or objective.
Hopefully the dev learned lots from it and will delight us with something new.
Maybe this can help you a bit?Regardless of the status of development, on hold or otherwise, there appears to be tons of various mods.
As a new player, it's very confusing since some of the mods seem to have been incorporated into the main branch, while others like the "Rivers Patch" remain separate (or is it included?). Moreover, there's many other mods spread throughout this thread haphazardly with no links to the OP or an organized list post. Or if there is one, I haven't found it yet.
It should be relatively simple for someone familiar with the game to create a thread in the mods forum listing them and a short summary of what they do and link it back here. If anyone has the time or interest to do that, I'm sure new players like me would appreciate it greatly. Thanks in advance.
From what I gathered none of the mods had been worked on after their release and as the main game Updated they are no longer compatible... the original Dev included some characters or Events into the main game as they considered them an enrichment to the story and gameplay while not breaking the story... also likely was easy enough to include without causing errors... useing the mods with the latest release tend to cause more than a few bugs thoughRegardless of the status of development, on hold or otherwise, there appears to be tons of various mods.

Humm, okay, seems like I missed the latest updates in February. Welp, I could update my anti-grind mod if people still want that? From what I gathered none of the mods had been worked on after their release and as the main game Updated they are no longer compatible... the original Dev included some characters or Events into the main game as they considered them an enrichment to the story and gameplay while not breaking the story... also likely was easy enough to include without causing errors... useing the mods with the latest release tend to cause more than a few bugs though
more or less... you only need food to keep the game going, but wood, stone and iron are required to build settlements for all species, those species will passively gather those resources over time so the need to get more yourself will no longer be required allowing you to concentrate to explore the world and impregnate girls... so it will be grindy at first but once you unlock most traits you'll also be able to leave resource gathering to your offsprings for the most partThanks for the responses.
I did see the "Additional Content" section and "Cheat Mod" link (that post had other mods too, which is what confused me), as well as the mod question on the previous page (176).
Yeah, if the game turns out to be very grindy, then eventually I'll probably try to cheat Then again, I don't mind grinding if it isn't all at the very start while I'm trying to learn how to play.
rivers patch is included in the main game and NOT a mod. it's a PATCH.Regardless of the status of development, on hold or otherwise, there appears to be tons of various mods.

It would probably be appreciated, especially if this ends up being the final version.Humm, okay, seems like I missed the latest updates in February. Welp, I could update my anti-grind mod if people still want that?
