@Beornwahl,you do know that renaming a file to *.GIF doesn't change the file contents to make it one and can result in problems when displaying?

It's so that he can use both animated gifs and regular pictures without coding in every animated gif manually.
As long as it's an image type it's gonna work and show up properly.
When I made my own animated gif pack for the old version I just renamed all my gifs to .jpg so they would just work without needing to manually code em in.

Point is, it's just like that so it's easier to add content whether it's animated or not and it's gonna show up properly, don't worry.

BTW if there aren't any damaged files they should be displayed file, but since there is at least one we might have a problem.

Inanna still can't get pregnant, found a quick fix. Go into your browser console and do SugarCube.State.variables.inannaPreg = false
Reason for it being broken is she is the variable is undefined, by setting it to false, you define that she is indeed able to become pregnant. After this the pregnant system should work
@Beornwahl is this intentionally left undefined if so, please let me know. :D
I just tested and couldn't replicate the problem. Still, nice to know there's a fix for those experiencing the same thing :hushedface:

Yes. The explanation is laziness as Fajter touches upon. This is the code that finds the proper picture for a girls face and sex scenes:

However, with the monster girls only some of the sex scenes are animated. In the prior versions before the Code and Combat update, every single picture and gif was hand coded into the game on whether they were one or the other. What took now is done with the two lines of codes above took thousands of lines in the old version. A lot of my time went into those, though mainly paste and edit, still. Now with every format renamed, not converted, to one format, simple lines of code can be used.

We can only wait and see if trouble will arise on the horizon.

Question: How does impregnating the creatures work? I have once impregnated all of them (about 5 centaurs) only to have one give birth at a time. Is that how it works or just a bug?

That's how it works. Only the Broodmother will spawn a new actor. The others still give births, but the birth doesn't spawn a character but mere add the certain type of creature to the wild.

Now I see where the problem is, can you give me some max width/height numbers so I can try to make an optimized version of the very big images and clean up the rest? Any idea if animated PNG files are supported?

The EXIF, XMP & URI errors shouldn't be a problem but there are at least 2 damaged files. 46sex1.gif is problematic.

Keep in mind that the list is just indicative and have missed at least one damaged file.

Fixed, but not out yet, see soon version 1.5.1. Did you find her fast or are you guys playing old saves btw?

280 - 1920 ... wow

The original game was with locked max width/height, but people with smaller screens had problems.

The old sizes were H 350 L 550, which some of the code is still built around.

I don't know, peoples' different sized screens might be a problem like before.
Would the resize mean a big leap in quality? And how would it affect gifs?
I've just done a test, and it seems APNG is supported.

So, I've gotten Nut and Nephtys, but can't seem to be able to impregnate them? To be clear, I chose both to take to the camp.

EDIT: Ok, so I messed around a bit and here's what I found:

If you pick only Nut, cannot impregnate her no matter how many times I try.

If you pick Nephtys, all is well

If you pick both you cannot impregnate either one and if you try having sex with both you get this gem after you click the Return button:

Can we test with this image, the waterfall should be animated, if not please make a post with the browser name and version you are using (Chrome 58 and older need an images):

If we convert the GIF files and only reduce the size of the very big ones we should have the same quality and reduced size. If we can get the original video files and convert them to animated png's the quality of some pictures (like Background\Events\Jul1.gif & Background\Events\Jul2.gif) will improve along the smaller size.

There will be the cases where the size might slightly increase (bunny\24sex.gif & bunny\24sex1.gif).
