The game won't even play. It goes to character select but no matter who I pick, it just crashes to desktop.

You don't have Discord or be part of any server? I went to the Kemono website to see if there was anything new, since you can often find fan-uploaded content on that site by searching for the author, but unfortunately there's no update.
