Lmao what the fuck, does this really warrant an official "update" to the game ? It's literally a few dozen renders at best, if even that. Absolutely nothing of importance happens and there is barely anything to read. The so called "update" is over in less than 5 minutes. Maybe the game will be finished in 8 or 9 years at this rate lol, and it'll still be a 'short' game.

It's ironic that many members comment on small updates and games that have been here for years without much progress.

When those same comments contribute to that exact condition. :(

I like this game and wish to see it succeed.
Dont really understand what you mean by that?
People calling out games that have really small updates for how often the game in question is updated, makes the updates smaller? Like what??????

People want to see good devs succeed trust me. But given how many initially good games have turned into patreon milkfests people are feed up with it.

I dont remember exactly when this game in particular was last updated but it was atleast months ago that I am 99% sure of and we have a 65 render "update" here no shit people are calling it out.

Yeah, I took it down. It was too esoteric for this crowd. It's disheartening to see what this site has become. :cautious:
It's like trying to teach common sense to 3rd graders.
You don't commend devs that put out 65 render updates after 5 months or however long it was and then go sub to them as a reward. That just promotes and encourages devs to continue doing what they're doing. I hate to use the term but it encourages milking.

So what other option do people have? They express their annoyance and dissatisfaction with how things are going. Sure some can get a little gungho about it and go too far which leads to devs quitting but yea... you don't treat devs like a toddler and go "aww honey it's okay. keep it up" when it hasn't been the first/second/third/fourth time this has happened.

Anyways...In all honesty the dev really needs to get away from doing 4k renders. It's a ren'py AVN. It doesn't need that. 1080p is perfectly fine, maybe 2k if you have that much of a hardon for high res images. It's clearly a blackhole for time when it comes to render workflow.

I'm glad you got some of what I was saying.

When I first started playing the game (before version 0.31), I was genuinely impressed — it looked fantastic, and I immediately thought about subscribing. But then performance issues started cropping up, so I decided to hold off.

After the rework, the game finally ran smoothly and felt playable. That gave me hope again, and I figured I’d wait a few more updates to see how much effort would be put into future content. I don’t mind if a developer takes their time with updates — I get that game development is a long and difficult process — but if it's going to take that long, there should be a substantial amount of content in return. A couple hundred renders at the very least.

Today I saw the newest update drop and was ready to finally subscribe after playing through it. But after 16 weeks of waiting, there was less than 5 minutes of content. That's just not worth it.

And for those who say, “Making a game is hard,” — yes, I know. I absolutely understand it's a tough and time-consuming job. But there are other devs — some of whom I actively support — who consistently get it done. Some take longer between updates, but when they do release something, it’s packed with 500+ renders, often even close to 1,000. Others release smaller updates every 2–3 weeks, still offering 100–200 renders each time.

Yes, life can get in the way, and delays happen. But this game has been in development for over four years, and if you're a reasonably fast reader, you're done with the whole thing in under an hour. That’s just not acceptable at this point.

I'm not here to attack the developer personally — but if an update is going to be that short, maybe hold off and release a proper teaser or sneak peek instead. This kind of release only leads to disappointment.

I'm sure AI can speed up the process significantly.

Are you inept? Like tf? What is the point of releasing this if there is nothing note worthy to see????? I could ask an 18 year old game programming college student to make me a game in an hour with more content than this bs. Either release an update with actual substance, or don't, simple.
