Started game, followed thru path, used drink from inventory... nothing no destinations except school, nothing to advance..

After kicking you out? It's because that's the end of the game. Journal says "to be continued"

If you're talking about some other time, idk. You gave no details. Make sure you read the end of the dialogues for directions, you often have to go to the mall for shit.

Move the mouse cursor to the right and left of the bar. There's no clicking involved.
