You cannot start a new game because when you validate the name, nothing happens.
You will need to delete the old version and play the new one from scratch. It worked for me.

You can do different things with Meg on the weekends so it depends if you completed her other quests as well. You also get different dialogues with certain characters on different times of day.

The faces, textures and 3d models are different. Due to the cartoon style of the game I removed the facial lines and skin details that makes the real faces easier to be distinctive, although they are still pretty clearly different faces with a different combination of bone structure, nose shape, hairstyles, hair and eye colors, etc... The only thing I'd say very similar are the eyeliner makeup texture which doesn't vary alot from one character to another but that's about it.
While you are correct about the dozens of abandoned projects we all see everyday, trying to treat every new project the same way and misinform others in the thread as if that project will get abandoned too is contributing to why devs can't get the support they need to continue their projects. Which is why those troll posts and reviews get rightfully removed.
If you have concerns, the right thing to do is to wait for their deadlines without necessarily making positive or negative judgements and see if the devs consistently live up to their premise.

This guy... not only are you paraphrasing, putting words into other people's mouths (Implied by quotes), but clearly missed the point. For example if the most read piece of literature, barring the BIBLE, a Manga called ONE PIECE by Eiichiro Oda, can get away with the 6faces trope (Pre Amazon Lily arc, and, well, pretty much post) as far as his attractive characters, then any critique about it towards indie/amateur artists really falls flat. Let me fix that preemptively: any Negative Feedback without a modicum of constructiveness to it, falls flat; when millions if not Billions let Oda get away with it without batting an eyelash.
I was just trying to expand peoples perspectives, offer up enlightening lil factoids (whether you find it interesting or funny) in case you/they didn't realize the industry does it all the time. Even outside of Anime: AAA game titles like FARCRY use literal clone models for NPCs, often found yards from each other. The broader your horizons, the less (overly) critical and pessimistic people tend to be, food for thought.

I can think of two reasons:
- They already know Unity, so the idea of using something you're familiar with so you can start making your game that much faster is more attractive than having to learn a new engine with its own abstractions and such, and then make the game w/ it.
- Even if they don't know how to use Unity, they want to use it to become proficient in it as it's more valuable in the long term: Unity is a generic game engine, it can be used for all game genres (and there's a lot of Unity-related gamedev jobs out there), while Ren'py is limited to VNs. So in terms of making the best of your time --creating that adult game while adding a "Proficient in Unity" skill to your resume-- Unity beats R'py.
Ren'py, with its rollback/undo action, the saving system with thumbnails etc. is the top reference in this.

In Timestamps we use a different dialogue system, which makes it easier to rollback, specially designed for the purpose to support (linear) VN and not sandbox games.

I'm also not a big fan of the tiny/puny MC. It would be cool if the MC started working out or something in the story so he could get bigger.
(but seriously, the art in this game is A M A Z I N G)

The height is telling the different. At MC height, he look like a kid. MC is what 4 ft tall? I think the height need to be adjust little bit.
