Tactical. Is like Final Fantasy Tactics if you ever played it but without high or low terrain level if I remember correctly.

I'm not to concerned if people think its bad or not, just more so if its appropriate here by the site itself.Well imho there are way worse games but is always something that depends how many people likes a certain genre or not.
And when there is a game without sexual content there is always someone complaining about it like if a game without sexual content is automatically bad... But let's close instantly this argument.
This one is still an Eroge so I think deserves some space, even if it has 8 years already so don't worry too much about people compaints... there are always who likes or doesn't like a game, and this title has done 3-4 games so there are people who obviusly liked this title. I personally appreciate this one so keep it up!

Oh ok, in that case I hope to see more of these "vintage" games with their mark of approval.

I actually specifically requested 2, years ago, since I couldnt find it with DLC anywhere, I've since bought it and all the dlc and had an absolute blast replaying it, truly one of the best stories in gaming, and it'd be great to have any easy place to point people to get it.
its not really anything like fft, its closer to disgaea
I was trying to remember this games title off and on the last few weeks. remembered it from years ago on the PS3 and wanted to give it another go.

Is a turn-based combat with a grid terrain system...like fft, disgaea, PotK and lots of the same genre.
Is obviusly not the same game.
Ah, I remember this game. This was the closest to anime game porn I could have on my console back when it was first introduced.
...It's also the start of why I hate Idea Factory's way to get endings. You have to grind or avoid fights to get the best endings for one... or beat it within a certain time/turns...then there's the 'hidden quest you have to take but you must do it this way to get it'...Gah. I'm not an M for such things and find no fun if I have to find and use a guide for EVERYTHING.
I damn well know that the European version of this game when it came out was the worst version since that version even limited battles to be as short as possible (or to never have them at all) so you HAVE to be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT else you'd get the bad endings...
...Which brings me to my main question: Is this the Harder than 'Nintendo Hard' European Version or the 'American easy mode' Version that's here? Saying that's its the Steam Version means nothing to me unless they say what's been remade/edited on it.

but you can take all of your characters turns at the same time, set up combos by queuing multiple actions, and theres is far more VN style things in argarest, similar to disgaea. even the amount and type of grinds and stats are vastly different from fft. you are also locked into classes based on characters, where as fft you can freely swap.
argarest and fft are similar only in the regard that they are loosely in the same genre, but disgaea is just a closer comparison
its basically like saying overwatch is like battlefield, when it would be much more accurate to say its like paladins

Welp, the game itself is not bad, i played it some years ago in my PC and the "port" sucked REALLY HARD, i remember corrupted saves, lost progress, and bugs, a lot of bugs.. even i was forced to reinstall the steam thanks to the bugs... and the battles were really tiring and slow, and believe me, i love slow games, since i played alot of 4x strategy games in my time. But the goddamn bugs i suffered, mixed with the tragedy of the "previus generations" make this game -at least for me- really hard to finish.
BTW i dont have anything againts the Uploader nor againts the game itself.. well.. no, thats not completly true, the game was just a pain in the ass for me.. anyway, thank you Dunken122.

As someone who played this years ago its fun limited character customization (based on the heroine you choose the hero changes there look based on there mom) + grindy srpg
you can choose which weapon based on affection.
I think agarest zero has a digest mode but you lose out all the character customization since every protag picks the tsundere heroine.
you have follow a true end guide alot.
keep ellis in party thruout the game because of the weird extended skill thing due to her ex2 special art skill.

I remember playing this when it FIRST came out because I was interested in the whole "the hero looks different depending on who you end up with" thing. I also played it when I was a very stupid kid that didn't understand tactics-based games. So i'm excited to be able to play it again!!!
