It's a pity there aren't more lesbian scenes. There's a bunch of cunnilingus positions if you're male, and a bunch of kissing, fondling and fingering scenes that should probably be compatible.

Maybe more scenes will unlock as I raise stats?

You know, I'm just gonna go ahead and throw a tantrum here. The save features in this game are absolute shit. The Autosave only triggers like once every 4-6 hours. There's no auto-save when you exit or make drastic changes, such as adding a girl or changing the housing layout. And this shit here:

That is bound the Escape key which usually just brings up the menu in games. But the kicker is the Confirm and Cancel buttons have their places swapped. In all western games and OS dialogs, the OK and Confirm buttons are on the right side, and Cancel is on the left.

So you tap 'Escape' to bring up the menu forgetting it's tucked into a sub-menu from the Middle Mouse button (Why?), then quickly tap what should be the 'Cancel' button out of instinct. Boom, game is closed. No autosave. You just lost 2 hours of progress. There's this cascade of terrible design in the entire system. I know they use Windows in Japan. They should know which side "OK" and which side "Cancel" goes on. Surely they've seen enough Western games to know not to bind Escape to an Exit function on any game bigger than Minesweeper.

I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing but:
I just installed the game (using the ScrewThisNoise R4 download) and messed around a bit. At first I couldn't see any characters on the character creation screen and when I tried to start or load a game anyway I just got infinite loading screens. I discovered it was the optional "kk-lipsync v0.1.2" mod that was causing the issue, as when I removed it I could see characters and the game started.

But now when in a game and I 'ask for sex' the characters go into a kind of pre-positioning pose (standing facing each other, one sitting the other standing, one lying on a bed the other standing on the bed, etc. depending on location) and then nothing happens. I can see the controls if I press the space bar twice but nothing is selectable. I can't even exit out of the scene. Mods still work (DHH menu, ect.) The only way out is to press escape and close the game. There is no crash. Just nothing progresses. I've tried using included characters and ones from cards. Neither work. Though I did notice that if the hero is smaller than the default male hero the one I have in the scene re-sizes themselves to be the same height as the default male hero. I have messed with some settings, I have reinstalled the game and made no changes (other than what the R4 install does for you), I have done that and installed the HF patch v2.0.1. Nothing works.

I did just find out that if you 'ambush' a girl with 'do some ecchi' and just start sex without asking it works fine (as far as I can tell). It seems my only issue is when I use the 'ask for sex' option.
Edit: I did one of these what the girl was in the bath and it is partially broken. No UI (except the exit scene button) appears until I get the cum options. But those are the only ones that appear. And sometimes neitehr those nor the exit appear. And when I exit the scene (if I can) the characters stand up within one another, overlapping, and the game just stops. I can move the camera around and exit the game but nothing else.

Is this a known issue or something simple I missed?
Is there a was to get the kk-lipsync to work?

Japan as my location
Good processor, good video card, and plenty of RAM.

You have covered a multitude of questions, perhaps without realizing. I will start from beginning.

When downloading the STN R4 version, there are two packs. One pack is the complete game with mods, the other pack is an update. The pack with the full game and mods is 32GB in compressed size. The update is around 7GB in compressed size. You do NOT need both. The update was for people who had the game installed but with an older repack.

One of the first things you need to do once the game is unpacked is to run the
AI Syoujyo registry fixer first
Next you can start the game using InitSettings.exe
There is no install for the game, it runs from the folder from which you unpacked. Yes you can move that folder anywhere.

First time startup of game is a bit alarming because you think it is broken, lag at start white screens etc. but just sit and be patient, that is how it rolls first time. When all is well, the first white screen will have a DHH progress meter which is for the graphics mod then joined by the Illusion game logo.

Sex at the beginning of the game is almost non-existent unless forced. You are best suited to learn how the game works and follow the story line as opposed to the more advanced features of H.

Add an outfit to a wardrobe furniture item, all girls can use outfits stored there. However, make sure to put it in the correct slot, most wardrobe items have two, as one is meant for clothes to be worn while bathing.

That wasn't what I asked. What I meant was if there was a way to create your own set of clothes to add to the wardrobe, not how to add the already existing wardrobe cards to it.

About changing the names in the character creator: is it correct that one cannot change the name without resetting the stats?
It keeps telling me that.
And apart from that: I understand that when you have the girl 'active' on your island, the character creator says *registered* and you can't change it. That's understandable.
But yesterday it occurred to me I had 3 girls on the island, yet it said *registered* on 6 girls which seemed a bit odd.

Oh yes, and something else (I'm sure I've read about it here but can't find it anymore):
What to do about the way too long schlong of my man?
I seem to have tried all new (to me) options but still the thing is waaaaay to long and sticks out in a weird way.
I know I should feel happy for the dude having a unit like that but it totally kills the immersion.
Must be a setting I'm overlooking?

You can create your own clothing set in the character creation mode by clicking 'Save' while on the 'Clothing' tab.

Ah, I misunderstood. Yes, that function is in the character creator.

Do you mean that stripping them in H scenes doesn't work or that they aren't starting naked? If you mean the second, that's because they don't stat naked unless they were already naked when H started.

That is correct, changes can't be made at all without resetting stats because the changes are tied to the card in this game. As far as having six cards registered for three girls, that might be a bug, one I've never seen at that. As far as the long dick, you can use one of the TAMA telescoping ones.

Tbh: it were 6 'different' girls, but still it seemed a bit odd indeed. (Truth be said: this was in my R4 game where I had imported the girls from the other game version).
I noticed more issues with it.
It seems to be impossible for me to catch cats/chicken. I had one cat in in old house, replaced the house and it was gone.
Since then I can't catch them. Of course I'm taking along the kitty carp and the item that's needed for chicken.
I guess I confused the game too much.

About the telescopic ones: noticed these but they seemed just as massive as the other options.
I guess the answer lies in the 'telescopic' part? Aka. it should automatically adapt?

It still shouldn't be saying any girl you didn't add is registered. I've never tried to catch pets, so I don't have an answer there. I use the script that gives me a ton of everything from the beginning. Yes, the telescoping dicks will adapt, basically change the way they move so that they don't go through the girl's body or similar.

Well, the translation patch works great and so does R4. I was a bit hesitant to switch from 3.2 with all the issues that kept coming up, but none came up for me. Now I need to figure out whether I want to start over and if I want to wipe girl stats as well so they all start completely fresh. On the one hand, I get the chance to experience the story in its fully translated glory, but on the other I have to spend several hours waiting for my house to load when I get back to the housing island, probably longer than it took last time since I added a lot more to it. EDIT: Well, I did it, girls rest and save deleted. I did run into a bit of an issue trying to reset the girls, though. I tried both overwriting and saving as new and it took several attempts each to get it to not save the stat data even though it had a warning in big red letters that stat data would be reset. I ultimately had to load all but the character data into a freshly opened character creation and change the character data manually just to get the stats to not transfer over as well. Luckily, I only had to do this on two girls because I backed up the others I had used in their unused form.

Not a fan of the game itself, as the translation made me feel like I was losing my fucking mind and it's so poorly optimised with asset-flips that it makes my beast of a PC chug like a potato, but I've spent some time (probably a bit too much) getting my head around the studio. Thank you for the response. I mean I can't strip them during H-scenes. Even when switching them to different outfits they refuse to strip. And it's only the last two girls that came out of the pods; the first two girls don't have that problem.
