Anyone having fps problems in the game? I have a good enough PC to run it in 60, but right now I have around 18...
Everyone...
Even those with supercomputers can't squeeze out 60fps on full settings. (Ironically those with DX11 Intel Onboard Graphics seem to do okay ROFL!) Good news the game is setup for 30fps gameplay and anims, so you may just need to get close to 30 for the full experience:
If you have an HD compliant monitor... (monitors effect FPS a lot)
A. Check your graphics card and see what resolutions you can run 60hz refresh on. Resize desktop to one of these. (Typically 720p, 1080p, 2K @1440p, or 4K @2160p) If a "middle one" is available (i.e. 4K compliant monitor and graphics, while 720p is lowest, go with the 2K setting, if too laggy, then go 1080p)
B. If you can get 10bit, 12bit, color set that on and also set it to YCbCr422 from the standard RGB setting.
C. Allocate page file space for your HDD or SSD (I've posted tutorials in this thread in the last two weeks on this) should be 1-1.5 times the size of your total motherboard RAM in MB (multiply GB by 1024) ergo 4GB is 4096MB thus no more than 6144MB.
D. Set game priority to high and CPU affinity to all cores but 0/1 (lowest is for OS) to prevent CPU throttling
E. Make sure that you have cleaned up your hard disks, run a reg cleaner, and defragmented HDDs (not SSDs, just main boot record HDD if applicable)
F. In your graphics card settings turn off Anisotropic filtering and Antialiasing
G. Set all graphics settings to high performance and also set the InitSetting.exe to high performance
H. Download a background process killer like IObit Driver Booster (the older ones work better, are free, and auto update, I think 4.2beta was last) and add the game exe to the optimization window in IObit.
If you are still suffering FPS loss:
H. Using the "Graphics Settings" in the game options in mod options, scale the resolution down one setting standard from the desktop setting. Ergo in 2K got to 1920x1080, if in 1080p got to 1280x720 etc.
I. Navigate to AI-Syoujyo_data>Plugins and delete the lib_burst_generated.dll file
If you page through my previous posts, you will find a lot of fixes already posted. Many others have contributed to troubleshooting these issues as well. Start around page 50-70 then go forward from there. In the beginning it was mostly demo talk then the launch game issues, you can skip all that...
If none of this helped, then it's time for a better GPU unfortunately.
