Can someone clarify where 'dark matter' is actually coming from or why my girls eat it when normal food is present? I assume it's a byproduct of using a witch cauldron but somebody in this thread mentioned it is somehow related to them being unable to cook properly. Is there a way to make girls evil but without them having stomach ache all the time and not assaulting or treating them badly and building actual hatred which is vigilance?

It's both of those things. Dark Matter comes from:

Inexperienced Cooking
Hatred Cooking (yes it's a thing)
Random Drop
Inexperienced cooking with high vigilance/jealousy (jealousy develops from having low sociality and low "happy" activities)

In my case it's neither, because I specifically made no ingredients available for them to initiate cooking to test it out. And they don't actually starve or have a low mood or avoid me, in fact they create lots of the thing with nothing and is happy all the time while raping the protagonist... but obviously suffer from frequent stomach problems which bugs me, because leaving them food and no ingredients to spoil doesn't solve the problems as they proceed with eating it regardless and I have to micromanage their indigestion.

The ones I get is not the result of failed cooking, because I don't have anything stored in the vaults to begin with or ever saw a cooking animation before they get 'the food', plus they often walk with the plate from afar and 'from afar' means not the cooking place. What I do have though is abundance of witch cauldrons all of my girls use all the time because they have darkness type of desires and provide me with dozens of dark spirits which I don't have to craft.
Darkness is not related to hatred towards protagonist, it's mostly dominance/evilness type of thing and can be obtained without mistreating girls or causing them to avoid you, in fact it actually makes them express their affection in 'more obvious and undeniable' way than all other stat driven behaviors, vigilance on the other hand is what actually represents girls dissatisfaction with protagonist actions such as molesting or assaulting them and what makes them avoid you.

'Transformation' is a machine translation for 'hentai' which by no means should be translated in such way in such a game. I don't think I should explain what word 'hentai' stands for in this game.

Now I have never seen this cauldron you speak of... ergo, I have no idea what you are talking about... How high is your girl's darkness ratings? I have seen the girl's come walking up with a plate, but just assumed that it was due to there being a picnic/dining table or whatever near me. They can cook at any cooking location and if I have been stationary they will soon congregate around. I assume this to be the same for everyone... However, I have never seen a cauldron and they haven't produced dark matter in a long time. Can you share a picture of a cauldron?

I never said that evil characters don't show love, however, if they have a high social and high darkness they will fatigue normal girls to the point of passing out simply through conversation.

That's not the case because I had them run on it solely while barely collecting anything and the actual droprate of the stuff is very very low on par with gems and when they actually find an item they place it into the storage which they cannot access by themselves.
In fact I don't even need to manage anything for the girls at this point as they produce their own food through dark magic out of thin air and satisfy their needs through rape which I can't even dismiss, lol.

Hmm... interesting observation... are you sure that is 変態EXP tied to overall AI progression (if so then it really could mean "metamorphosis, transformation, transition, modification") if they would have used ヘンタイ there would be no doubt about "perversion". But the kanji usage instead of katakana could also be just because of UI layout constraints.

Edit: I'm lealing more towards your idea that 変態 here means something along the lines of "metamorphosis", if they meant only "sexual perversion" they could have used 変態性 .

It's an ero game, it is actually pretty hard or I assume impossible to play the game and not elevate their 'hentaininess', because it grows no matter what, even if you didn't communicate or see the girl at all.
And there actually pretty many ingame evidences such as porno book elevating the stuff or sexual perks almost always affecting it or pleasure desire starting with boosting the trait.
And all those dozens of JRPGs which I played where the word was used in the very 'context specific moments', kek.

Be sure you make some day clothes sets, work clothes sets, bathing attire, and pajamas for the girls.

(or a complete bitch I guess) like the stages of a butterfly. There are also butterflies everywhere and other than cats, creatures of strange evolutionary means (crabs, eels, shrimp, chicken, frogs, etc.)...

Maybe I am looking into it too far and seeing things that are greater than they are... Sadly it would make my respect for the artistic attempt drop significantly...

all stats altering items come in three kinds in the game, plus additional one which lowers the stat, and are associated with a certain color. You can actually craft porn book out of said 'colon'. I don't know why they picked yellow color for perversion... might be a joke related to 'a certain way' girls express their satisfaction in the game.

that's the witches cauldron for the halloween update... i believe it's an exclusive cooking device the girls can use but not the player. Illusion just never put a darn description on it X_X... i donno if it is an exclusive girls only cooking device or just a random animation object though, i can't confirm...

Judging from the fact that I somehow own 67 dark spirits without crafting even a single one or girls sustaining themselves without me providing them any food or their darkness elevating each time they interact with it, it is definitely not 'just a random animation object'. It's actually the only must have item in my current playthrough.
