Thank you for the well-argued description, and sorry for being young and not having as much vision as you older men.Nah, I have to disagree. As a black man, I don't see racism here. It's a Myth that all of us are hung like small horses. I'm pretty old so I remember the early days of interracial porn, where the guys' penises were average or smaller. True, genetically, black people tend to have between 1-2% more muscle mass, but it doesn't always equate to sex organs.
When I was in basic training in the Army, our barracks had communal showers. EVERYBody was naked and, without staring, guys, white, black, and asian, got the chance to see what each other was packing. Some white guys were hung, some black guys weren't, and Trust Me, the guys that weren't got ragged on, sometimes, mercilessly.
The mythos of gigantic black tools came from slavery days and has never changed. Some women, from then until recent years, would spread the lie, for whatever reason. The porn industry Really perpetuated it when more women, especially white women, were openly buying and watching porn. It's what made the money. Eventually, the industry began hiring well endowed black guys to facilitate the fantasy, thus increasing sales.
The fact is, I've found the propensity of white guys having elephantine dicks as ridiculous as finding every black male character hung like horses in these games. Or how, in most mother-son incest stories, the son is some kid standing 5'4 and his mother towering over him, like some amazon, which isn't very realistic for an average 18-20 year old male. What Really irks me is having black males all having comic book muscular physiques and large boners, or portrayed as hideously ugly, or huge lips (which we all don't), or all bald (most young black males prefer to keep their hair. Only 40-somethings or guys going through early hair loss opt for shaved heads). Even worse are some of the "games" portray black males as something akin to orcs in fantasy tales. I Get it, trust me. I deal with the hateful or suspicious looks Every Day, and Have been all of my life. I ignore it because Their hate doesn't define me as a person and trying to outdo racists at every measure, just to prove them wrong, is Exhausting. I Refuse to let hateful, willfully ignorant people, rent space in my head. They like being miserable, I don't.
I have nothing against racial pride but that doesn't mean that you have to shit on everyone else to do so but I'm digressing. As far as the game goes, it doesn't strike me as offensive. The character, Andre I believe, just wasn't born gifted, as I see it. The problem lies in the fact that most devs and writers are white, so they portray us as they see us, or Think that they see us. There are some out there that are fair in their works but until there are more blacks involved in rendering, and most importantly, writers who know of our experiences, we'll get what we've been continually, someone Else's POV. As far as the scene goes, it's not offensive to me because I know better.
Living and learning a little of the stories, from those who understand the subject and have lived well enough to know a little about everything.
Thank you, and have a good weekend.... and forgive my ignorance..
