Just found out about Fleeting Iris, and I was about to buy it on Steam until I saw reviews stating that this version is a couple of updates behind? Additionally, there's another version of the game on Steam called "Fleeting Iris: Alansya Chronicles" which is not as well reviewed as the other version but, if purchased, comes with free DLC?

Which of these two versions should I get?

the ones here is up to date the renpy one and the rpg version and all dlc minus the xmas one and the dlcs are not on steam its banned content in them so they are a standalone game for free

if you want to play it as a rpg or as a novel other than that they are the same

the dlcs are there own game and i would say just dl the main game here

If you show a receipt for your Steam purchase to the developer on Discord, they will send you the latest official version.

The DLCs are standalone games, and you can get them for free on their website.

There's no need for you to play a buggy pirated version.

Both versions provide access to the same content with minimal effort.

The Steam version of RPG Maker lacks a few quality-of-life improvements, but the actual content remains unchanged.

The Patreon version is the most up-to-date, whereas the version available here is not the latest, it contains bugs and may (will) cause softlocks.

Version v1.0.5 of the Ren'Py release includes a DLC on Steam. To achieve the complete experience, you must also apply the following patch:

. Despite the differences in gameplay due to the Ren'Py engine, the content remains the same across versions.

So the question is, which engine do you like the most?

Maybe are these fonts in your games fonts folder? Back original just in case mine is different. If not try fonts 2
