Just noticed that the game was finally released. I have updated my cheat to version 1.01 of the game. Fair warning, I updated it in about 3 minutes and have not tested it extensively so if anything is broken let me know.
Is it possible to add a cheat that completely heals you instead of giving extra health? I don't wanna be too OP but there are times where i really need HP.
Been waiting a while to play this, but I've been avoiding the forums so it doesn't get spoiled
Anyway, seeing as how some people still seem to get some enjoyment out of my last map, I stayed up all night and mapped out the new areas. Not sure if I got everything, but I did find a couple things I missed in v0.13 (unless Grimhelm added some new stuff to the old areas?)
Let me know if I missed anything, so I can collect it and update my map.
This is the total items I had when I finished the game. I'm not sure if there's more than this, it's all I found so far. I feel like I'm missing stuff, because there's 7 Health and Mana Upgrades, so maybe there's 7 of all the items, but that's probably just my OCD kicking in.
That aside, this second half of the game is damned hard, or at least the bosses were. I wasn't a fan of the strategy I basically had to use to defeat them, which I'm pretty sure is what everyone else here used. I would have preferred to dodge and stab, like with the other bosses, but these had too many Health and hit hella hard. Then again, I didn't put any points into defense, so maybe it's my fault.
Also, I had a weird, but minor glitch. For whatever reason, the game didn't display all the Attack Upgrades for one of my saves. I'm certain that I got the first 3, because that was the save I used when I originally mapped out the game in v0.13, but after grabbing the 4th one I found in v1.01, my status screen only displayed 3.
Luckily, I was over zealous about this game back then and had other saves in the same end location for the last patch (I was experimenting with different builds; Full Critical is kind of fun), so I still managed to comb through and enjoy the game, but there might be other errors from save conversaions from older versions, so watch out for that.
Also, to all the people who thought he wouldn't finish the game: we told you to have faith
Anyone know a fix or workarous to deal with those damn zapping enemies? I have to jump to hit them but if they hit me midair I'm dead because I get stuck.
Don't worry about that, I did a similar thing. I had H scenes on in Germany but, when I returned to England, I focused entirely on getting V0.12 "finished" in preparation for future version. Didn't realize till last week (i.e. a good 6-7 months after I left Germany) that there even WAS a H-Scene switch. XD
Also, the "censorship for youtube" button is just damn hysterical to see. It's like slapping crime scene tape over a penis.

First of all, thanks a lot for the cheat code!!
Second: would it be too hard to separate all the bonus items into separate buttons? For the purpose of doing 'class' runs of the game. Personally, I wanted to try a 'mage' run but I would need mana regen globes for that and don't really want huge attack and health pool to go with it.

As far as I know, Intelligence does not increase the power of your abilities, it just gives you +4 Mana per point invested. That being said, a Mage run does sound interesting, as the bomb power is pretty useful during the first half of the game, although the damage they do to you kind of ruins their use. You would probably need a lot Con to aid this playstyle, while you wait for mana regeneration (and to cope with some of the game's really cheap seemingly unavoidable attacks). However, I can't really see you beating Mother Brain with it (not without a lot of pulled hair, anyway), since her health and damage output is insane.
Normally, I don't really care for cheating, but starting a playthrough with Gravity Orb seems like it would be really fun, and would add certain replayable factor to the game. I wouldn't really call that cheating either, as if you ever played Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (a classic, by the way), that game allowed you to start it with special statistics associated with Classes by entering hidden character names, which were unlocked by beating the game in specific ways.
One such Class was indeed the Mage, which allowed you to start with all of the spells. I would love to replay this game in that way. I'm surprised Castlevania and other Metroidvania's never adopted this method of gameplay, it adds so much more to playing the game again. Anyway, if he does this kind of edit, I would be interested in knowing too.

Don't remember where I got the mana orb and the atk+ but the red skull you get from a red alien spawn in the room right to the left of the entranece to the Reactor. The room with the lesser giant alien who just headbutts you and doesn't shoot. There is a spot in the middle of that room that will spawn aliens from the foreground and the third wave has the red alien with a red skull drop.
Also, I seem to have missed an HP+ item... bummer

I don't know if anyone's found out the secret death animation that triggers when you die to a facehugger ( it may work with other mobs but since facehuggers don't trigger death animations it's easier to see), and you lie on the ground for a minute or so

Its not new its just the only h-scene that isnt in the gallery most-likely due to the nature of how its setup as it drains hp instead of just climaxing like other enemies. Their is one ground and standing animation for its h scene. Also tentacles in different areas of the map might trigger a different pose so if you want to get them before beating the game just stand by them nude.

That is exactly what I had in mind. My favourite class was the thief there. Some rare monster drops were pretty OP.
Based on your screen shot and the one below you, seems like my initial hunch was right: there may be 7 of each Bonus Item. Honestly, I didn't even bother with the giant aliens beside the Reactor, that entire area gave me a pretty massive headache, considering everything there shoots Force Field penentrating lasers.
I'll have to give it a thorough look over again later and update my map, when I have more time.
That's cool. Here's hoping that he was inspired enough by the revenue and attention that he got from this game to work on this one a bit more diligently. Assuming he got paid well for the game. I really should throw some bucks his way.

Found the Blook Skull, and the ATK+ I was missing was located down a thin lower shaft you have to run through with the Force Field on, in the lower right room of the final area. Map updated, still looking for that other Mana Orb, though. It was near the middle of the map, in the new area, in the upper left corner of the room, where you had to kind of weirdly stand on it up high and slide into a tiny area.
I killed all the giant aliens in the final area, so it doesn't seem to be there. If there's more items, I'm betting their hidden earlier in the game, behind well placed explodable walls, or something. This is what I have now:
