Now you can't really say if a game is really completed by real life measures or it's just completed by this site's measures. So instead of being really informative, the tags could be simply misleading and annoying and you can see that when you read posts saying "Completed my ass"...
And how would that change? You would still need criteria for both. They will never been the same as players or devs want.
This game is tag as complete, cause dev has it defined as such. And even big studios produce "complete" games that are rushed or have bugs. Eg. Vampire the Masquerade 2 couldn't be played without community patch.
If we will only tag games that are actively defined by the dev as abandoned then Milf City would never have been marked as such, for good or bad or The Coceter Chronicles would still be in normal development cycle. Only for The Coceter Chronicles the last update was 6 years ago and the last post from the, I think, was over 3 years ago.

Actually Milfy city would've been marked because Icstor wasn't at all active. First time the game was tagged was because he went radio silent for 3 months... Of course he immediately released a very small update just to get the tag removed. Later he didn't even care about that hence the tag being there for a long time. But he wasn't really active during that time.

IRL there's already criteria for the words "completed" and "abandoned". The abandoned tag is still a bit more difficult I think but that could be resolved too with additional tags for extremely long dev cycles. Abandoned would mean a deleted Patreon page, a dev announcement, total radio silence like now etc. But if a dev is active, then the game would get a tag warning the players and possible subscribers about the slow development. people wouldn't think it's abandoned while it's really not but would know what to expect. It's funny when the tag is added while the dev posts here multiple times every day about the game, shows renders etc.
Any dev could say their game is completed after actually abandoning it though and doing so mislead people to maybe buy the unfinished product. That's absolutely not a good approach. Bugs are also a different issue, if it's game breaking and the dev won't fix, then it's also abandoned. If it's just annoying then the game could be completed. Completed does not mean "flawless" or "perfect" IRL. But completed surely means the story has it's end or endings and contains no lines pointing to future updates. A rushed ending is an ending. A bad ending is an ending. A missing ending isn't an ending though. And pointing to future updates also indicate something isn't completed. It's extremely lazy not even to remove those lines. Of course removing them wouldn't add more content but at least the dev could say with a more straight face that the they just wanted to show that much with that character or on that route. Now they show the players they had plans but didn't accomplish them while cashing in on the completed tag.

On top of this, the post after mine states dev himself says he will continue to work on this game, so it's not completed just like the Shrink wasn't when it was tagged.

Well, that was complete and utter bullshit. It was a good story up until it cut the fuck off in the middle of it.

"Completed" my ass......

Needs to be marked as "Abandoned" instead.

dev has stated that game is completed and f95 mods will act based on that and put completed tag on game thread, if you 2 want to argue about that then contact f95 staff and dev if he is at f95 don't rant about it on game's thread where it leads to nowhere except annoying others.

My intention wasn't to rant about anything.
Also, this is a discussion thread. I for one only want to play completed games since too many devs or let's say people in general are unreliable and I don't like unfinished stories just like I don't like bad stories and many devs screw up their games big time in later episodes and that will show up in the reviews. I usually don't watch TV series either because I hate to wait long times for new episodes or seasons and even the better ones end up terrible due to too many seasons, greedy studios.
There're many-many actually completed games to play so you can find entertainment without playing incomplete ones. I think there're a lot of people like me. If you like to play incomplete games, that's just your preference, good for you, I have no intention to change your worldview.

Pointing out that the game isn't really finished is informative for those who are only interested in completed games so very much on topic. Again, anybody can say about their game it's completed so it's just stupid to only take one's word into account when tagging a game here. I think anybody who wants to "milk" subscribers is just crazy if they aren't telling their game is completed to get a tag here... Maybe if more devs who abandon their games would do it the tag system would change for the better.
Since the tag system is what it is, random guys have to let others know the truth in the discussion threads.

right but that discussion has turned to ranting too.

but anyways to get op changed to state that only 1 path is completed (not that all read that or anything beyond 1st page or other than dl-links) is contacting mods or staff.

From what OneManVN wrote to me on discord, he intends to continue the Harem path, as he added: "with today's quality". He also wrote something about releasing Alison on Steam, but only with 1 track, love path.

That would be the role of the tag, to inform you about the state of the game without the need to read anything else. Basically that's the only role these tags have. Now it's useless because you have to dig up further information about the games' status, but hey, at least it's blue.

Also, it doesn't matter if you call it a rant or not, we're talking about on topic issues in a discussion thread. If you want to call it ranting, suit yourself. That doesn't change the fact that even the dev says he intends to continue this game because it's not done yet. Just like The Shrink wasn't done when it was tagged completed.

Are you're sure?
2. On-Topic Threads

The following rules apply to all threads in the main sections, such as Games, Comics and Animation, Development/Assets, etc:

  1. All discussions in these threads should be kept on-topic and be about the game/content/creator/etc
    • Memes/gifs/reactions are fine as long as they don't derail the discussion and aren't excessive or distracting, eg. combining or chain quoting them is considered excessive. As a rule of thumb, if words are enough then do not use an image
    • Do not branch the topic into posting about random unrelated discussions, favorite movies/food/weather/etc, or complaints about moderator actions/rules
    • Please move any disruptive/prolonged arguments to PM
  2. Avoid excessive use of BBCode, all caps, multicolored or oversized fonts, etc
  3. Kinkshaming is not allowed
    • Do not complain about tags in threads or engage in discussion about the tags themselves. It is fine to talk about how a given fetish is implemented in the game, but whining about something clearly visible in the tag list is not
    • This includes brigading and/or otherwise harassing developers to remove or add content
  4. Please avoid discussing or advertising other games in game threads, as this will often derail the discussion
    • Do not ask for similar games, we have a Recommendationssection for this purpose
      • (Some advice: try searching for the topic first, chances are there are already threads asking for similar titles to any popular game)
  5. Do not promote your own unofficial Sites/Blogs/Discords/YouTube Channels/etc, unless it's relevant to a service you're providing the community (eg, a Modder's Patreon)
  6. Do not spam content threads asking for a new version to be shared (i.e. "+1", "bump" or similar are not accepted)
    • This includes DLCs, missing content, compressed versions, ports (android, mac), etc
    • Asking ONCE is fine, but avoid spamming or repeating other's requests
  7. Avoid excessive discussion about development. Talking about developers is fine, but derailing the game discussion with multiple pages of the same arguments concerning development speed, delays, pricing, etc is not
  8. Image Dump and Appreciation threads belong in Off-Topic, unless they are specifically Game Fan-Art threads, in which case they in the appropriate section
  9. Do not post Fan Art in game threads if a dedicated thread Fan Art exists for that game; if it does not exist, consider creating a new thread
  10. Spoilers are allowed, but it is polite to hide such content - especially when updates are still fresh
  11. Pay attention to any Moderation Notice in the thread's OP, they are thread specific rules approved by Staff and carry the same weight as rules listed here
Also:
3. Prefixes

  1. On-hold: used for a developer who temporarily stops working on a game for whatever reason and makes a clear public statement about it, if they do not resume work in 6 months the prefix is changed to Abandoned.
  2. Abandoned: used in the following cases:
    • The developer states that the development has been permanently suspended.
    • After 3 months of inactivity from the developer's public creator/crowdfunding accounts (Patreon, SS, etc), we will resolve special circumstances or scenarios on a case-by-case basis (no creator accounts, creators developing for free, Patreon accounts under review/ban).
    • No game update has been released for an abnormally long period of time (>18 months).
    • Game threads that are marked On-hold for over 6 months with no game update.
    • Note: this prefix is only removed upon the release of a new update for purchase/download.
  3. Complete: when a game is released in its full version as stated by the developer. Note that complete games might still receive patches and post-release content.
  4. Collection: used when multiple games of a single developer are bundled in a single thread.
  5. Siterip: used for collections of entire sites/publishers.
  6. Engine Prefixes: use the appropriate one if available or Other if the correct engine prefix doesn't exist.
  7. VN: A game focused on story, with the vast majority of choices being dialogue based. Often has a minimal choice:text ratio.
So, you're argumenting about the right prefix use in a game thread, but:
  1. Dev delcared game is finished
  2. Complete prefix is only based on dev statetment
  3. Per rule 2 "Avoid excessive discussion about development", it could seen that this is excatly that.
Also if you want to change the prefix used for this game, report it and write done what and why. If you want how the prefix is used, make a thread in the right section of the forum or go into the new tag system thread and write it there.

That's what I'm saying, all devs abandoning their games should say it's completed and get the tag. Don't you think it's just a stupid way to use a word which has a clear RL meaning??? Of course you don't care because you're OK with playing incomplete games so it doesn't affect you.

I wonder why wasn't College bound tagged for about 6 months though, dev clearly stated in April when Ep. 5. was released on Steam that's the final update.
I also wonder why wasn't General Practitioner tagged for years while they only released DLCs, you know additional content and NOT main story content.
Don't forget Double homework. Epilogues were out for years, multiple people reported the missing tag and nothing happened. Palmer even passed away.Love Joint made the statement on this site.
I'm sure there're lots of other examples but you know, I usually don't read threads which aren't tagged, there're a few exceptions.
So the use of the prefix is quite random I would say. Also, please tell me, where should the dev make the statement? Here in the thread? Through a message to a mod? Or on Patreon? Maybe Discord? All of the above? How does it work exactly? You see, if it's on Steam it easily could not count.

I hope next time when you buy a phone declared "completed" by the manufacturer you'll find out that it has only half the buttons on it, would come without a back cover and you will be able to start calls but won't be able to receive any. I do think starting and receiving calls are equally important, but hey, the phone works, you can use it so it's completed. Maybe the manufacturer will knock on your door a few months or years later and will add some of the missing features, who knows... That's exactly the logic when accepting somebody's word without taking anything else into consideration and falsely using a word as a tag which has a meaning for maybe thousands of years.

Also, saying it's off topic to discuss the game's REAL state is just ridiculous too. I'm not interested in unfinished games if you're, then I'll repeat, good for you. Nobody can give my wasted time back if I can't even be warned in the discussion thread about the truth because it's off topic after the tag missed to do it's job and inform me properly. I'm sorry a conversation about the truth annoys you guys but I should say, I'm not surprised anymore.
And don't even start with the pirate site BS because I BUY lots of games on Steam which I find here so without trustworthy information not just my time but money could be wasted too and I won't be able to find out half the game is missing within the period set for refunds.

This is my last post in this thread about this issue because people seem to be ignorant AF about reality, truth. If nobody started to argue and didn't defend this lie about this game's state when KnuckleDragger79 pointed out the reality, then I wouldn't even wrote a single post. It seems it's not off topic to talk about it if you're defending a lie, only if' you're stating the truth. As you can see, I'm on this site for years, played about a 150 games, but don't really post or comment. I usually do when this absurdity comes up.

Oh, and yeah, this is a RANT. :D I'm a Grumpy Ol' Dude for fuck's sake!

I have a problem, my game always ends at the part where I have sex and help Genevieve with the washing machine
Hi. As OneManVN mentioned, only the Love Path is fully completed. This the main story. Harem and coruption ale alternatives and are not finished. This is what He wrote on discord:

OneManVN — 13.12.2023 18:58
I am certain I will continue (R&R) Harem with today's quality, etc. As for Love, hopefully in early 2024.

Wow the third choice was short and inconclusive.
It said to be continued.
It was missing a lot of stuff before the remake.
This remake need a remake specially the 3rd path or only one path. The Harem path.

From what OneManVN wrote to me on discord, he is thinking about improving the path of love and releasing it on Steam. Maybe he'll do something with the harem path too.

Like promising a ham sandwich where you added the bread and Mayo, but ignored actually adding ham or veggies. At least you technically got a sandwich. Still, better than The Day Before. That was just a Excessive pile of mayo that was advertised as a toasted pastrami on rye with provolone and..... man now I'm hungry.

But you get the idea. Sorta done is better than nothing done i guess

I know I'm a noob and it's possible that my question is trivial, but I still have a problem. I installed the mobile version on my cell phone. At first everything worked very well, but at some point I had to do something, press something, something. The menu that was at the very bottom of the screen disappeared... Now I have a problem, I can't save anything. Most often, when I start the game, it starts from the point where I closed it. But sometimes it happens on the start menu, I have to load the last save and then click back to the point where I finished earlier. If anyone has any idea what I broke and how to fix it... I would appreciate the help.
That's how it was at the beginning, I mean the menu circled in red at the bottom
Screenshot 2024-01-09 09-24-46.jpg
And that's what I have now

talk to that who made that port.
Okay, that's another stupid question. Because on page 1 there are only download links. Is there any chance to check who made the port? Or should I just ask and hope that someone will answer?

then possible that made by dev if no porter's signature anywhere.

besides it's possible that this doesn't work on newer androids.
