no nothing happens... the window wont change on rpg maker xp games for me... but on newer versions sizer works to make them fullscreen/or higher resolution. i have bad eye sight so its annoying to play with small windows.and when i try to change resolution of my monitor it doesnt feel satisfying and looks bad. i guess i will just stop playing rpg maker xp games even tho they are the best :c

I get you, i too have bad eyesight. I think everyone who spent a decade or two in front of pc's will have a bad eyesight.
Unfortunately can't help you with this, i usually just stick my face closer to the screen when it comes down to playing XP.

Also you may want to use the "reply" function when you want to reply to someone, this way the one you reply to gets notification that someone replied to their message. So, if you want people to reply to you, you may want to start using this function. I was just around this time, otherwise i'd probably miss your messages.

I get you, i too have bad eyesight. I think everyone who spent a decade or two in front of pc's will have a bad eyesight.

or that be out in later versions?also wondering how to get to the mansions i forget where they are and how to get to them
last time i found them i remember talking to a guard inside one of them and then he ports ya i think by the docks area
just remember him being inside one of the mansions kind of can someone help me remember ?

He wants to replace those eventually with art specifically drawn for this game but that costs money.
And with just 7 patrons it's going to take forever to gather that money.

Okay so you are pretending got it. It's the difference between stealing a copy of a new super mario game and stealing a bootleg called "booper bario". Edit: To clarify the one of the main things that's important for a porn game is the art the other main ones being writing and gameplay. If the devs can't afford to get unique art they're missing one of the three main areas that anyone plays porn games.

ive had many black screen moments that ive been through all through the maps, etc never bothered mentioning them because the bug fix tool got me through UNTIL i finally opened up fvar...please tell me the house in the pic included isnt the mayers house ...everytime i try to enter this house i get black screen YES the bug tools works (sort of)just cant enter house

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far... or maybe not so far away, there was another developer who was helping Crou-chan because Crou-chan used to really suck at the techie stuff.

So yeah, don't be surprised if something doesn't work or is broken. And save often.
But this particular house... i don't remember it being broken.

theres some sort of quest connected to the house its a couple wanting to have a baby and making a deal with a demon
no idea why i cant get in that house but the black screen surely dont help (gave up trying after not being able to enter THAT house) as far the mayer your right for now i cant get into the mayers place some sort of funeral happening and waiting for their daughter to show up or something a long those lines and not sure how to progress further
theres another weird quest thats way at the end of area end of making a deal with some weird monster guy and wants you to fix the deal suppose to go do something tho not sure what and been trying to dig through google searches to see what im to do and where to go, etc theres lots broken with the game BUT man still enjoyable as hell a side from a few annoyances
lots of word goin around the forum here about possible reboot love to see this game fixed up its pretty good game been playing it about a week and thats rare on F95 lol (for me anyways)most games done and deleted with in a hour or so at most

im doing a quest outside my castle off to the east and killng zombies, etc click a tree and a little dialog box pops up says
some strange magic eminates from here and theres no options to do anything except to read what i just said
what am i missing what am i suppose to do?every time i get hung up on quests i take a break and work on other quests, etc

If you can't afford to make a porn game just don't lol. I wasn't mad I just said I'm not playing it. It's like making a story game without a writer so you steal someone else's story and say you'll replace it later when or if you get the money. The art doesn't even have to be hand drawn. Koikatsu or Honey select is way better than straight up stolen art because if the characters look nice the players/devs can have whatever scenes they want with that character rather than being limited to stolen artwork scenes.

The html games are low quality and I don't really like em. They're barely games so this whataboutism means nothing to me. Also do you really want me to hand money to a dev that can't even get basic artwork like from Koikatsu or Honey select? If I'm giving money it's to the devs who can be bothered to draw/model or pose/create the characters themselves.

Because again, the game predates patreon and even when patreon started most people have not even heard of it. Back then these kinds of porn games simple did not make ANY money at all. The author never expected to make any money off of this.

Instead years later everything changed, patreon became a thing and suddenly he could make money off of his game. Honey select came out and suddenly he could realistically make his "own" art.
He considered his options and between honey select and patreon funded commissions decided on the latter. New content is made with patreon funded comissioned art specific for this game, and he is slowly replacing the old stolen art with patreon funded comissions. However there are tons and tons of it to replace. the game is vast.

The vast majority of games on this site are using a stolen story. they are set in harry potter, or naruto, or dragonball, or what not. The number of games here that have their own story is very small.

I thought it was a remake? Did he not update the engine? Also the story thing was meant to be in relation to writing a book but I forgot since I posted it yesterday. The main part of the porn game is the porn. It is the bait on the hook to get you to play the game. Since substituting it for stolen assets was my issue amongst other things I mentioned.

He started trying to familiarize himself with VX Ace (2012) with plans on rebooting into it but found that one endlessly frustrating as well. Again many cut features, improvements but also breaking stuff.

RPGM is notorious for being extremely impractical to port between editions. Eventually in 2013 he had enough, posted a long rant about VX and VX Ace. Said he is remaking the game in RPGM XP. the new game will be renamed from Alone to AloneXP (the XP is from the game engine name) to distinguish it from the old game. So he remade the game into an older engine.

To be fair XP, VX, and VX Ace were all trash. VX Ace is just a mostly fixed version of VX. where it took them 5 years to sort out most of the problems in VX, but even then not all.

The notoriety of being impractical to port between editions is one of the reasons people keep on calling it a trash engine, it is not just the 8bit graphics or the grindy JRPG style combat.
For example RPGM keeps on switching which language user scripts are written in. So if you want to port a game to a newer version of RPGM you need to learn a different programming language and then manually rewrite all user created scripts into the new language. And zone tiles have to be redone manually, again not something that can just be imported from one game to the next.

This is why less than 5% of RPGM games on F95 use the latest version of the engine, RPGM MZ (2020), which is actually somewhat decent. There is also the MV version from 2015. which was still meh but the first version of RPGM to ever have a proper resolution.

Oh yeah understandable. It's more acceptable considering it's age. The whole RPGM thing sounds like it might be a coding thing in general. I'm trying to learn a bit of unity myself but unity wanted to do little updates daily and the tutorial I'm watching has edits where he has to explain how to do something in the current version because shit keeps changing from the old versions.
