I just finished the current content as well as playing through my first time (Team Alpha route), and I am very impressed with the story and characters overall. The story is a bit too fast in my opinion with the numerous time skips without much training my MC's stats and getting to know the characters, but I like the Alpha (Ivan)/Omega (Alexa) storyline. I'm not a fan of Alexa, but she is well-written, and the reveal towards the end of chapter 4 just adds another layer to her traumatic experience (raising the child of your r**ist). I am enjoying the fact that Taylor and Lilana are alot more complex and not just surface-level characters (Lilana being a romantic tech-wizard and Taylor being a family-oriented individual who's very selfless). This is coming from someone who originally thought Lilana was beyond creepy (primarily in Chapter 1) and would have physically much prefer Elize over Taylor as a LI from the band branch, but I'm satisfied with the choices the more I got to know them.
However, I don't understand the decision by the developer to introduce LIs much later in the story, but lock us onto a path with earlier characters (Rosie, Natasha, Lilana, etc) without ever being given an option to be in an exclusive relationship with any of those ladies. When I came across this page for Alpha Omega, I genuinely thought the 12 ladies on the top banner of the page would be the main LIs of this dating sim, but so far only a few are available , and the options dwindle even further depending on the Omega/Alpha branching. If characters like Tamica, Evelyn, Anong, etc (who only have a friendship meter, not a attraction intensity meter included) get a chance to shine in the later updates, that would be cool, but again, you're already locked into Natasha's or Lilana's route as simply lovers or best friends.
In my playthrough for example, I'm on the Natasha and Lilana routes, but I never committed to either and was simply having fun/testing the waters, but I'm already being spammed with dialogue choices/actions that suggest I'm in an exclusive relationship with either or both, who apparently are not jealous of the open affection besides the choice of kissing Natasha on the forehead in the hospital. However, the moment I decide to spend the evening of the MC's birthday with Natasha, Lilana's lover status dropped down to best friends, despite having lover status with both since the beginning of Chapter 4 and Lilana seemingly entertaining the idea or reality of the MC having two ladies between her and Natasha multiple times in conversations leading up to that party. Honestly, I almost believed there was a secret throuple route between Lilana and Natasha, if you made the right choices at certain times with the two characters, but nope I got faked out up until that point.
I simply wished it was more clear that I was going to be locked into a LI's route without much effort/commitment on my part. I'm still enjoying Alpha Omega and will continue to do so, but this issue breaks my immersion of this AVN being a dating sim.
