Quick question. If the thread (and the release) has been updated 2 weeks ago, why the site shows the last update 4months ago? I usually tend to go directly into the "Latest Update" to see if any of the games i previously played has been updated

This version is not an actual update with new content. It has a remake of the first chapter. The first chapter was made a long time ago and the developers ability to make this game improved dramatically since the start. He decided that the first chapter did not meet his new standards of excellence so he remade it. He is planning other improvements to the first chapters of the game as well. All these improvements are being done at the same time as the next update is being developed. This version may not technically have new content, but it looks so much better you might think you are playing a different game.
DarkAssassin Will it work on 0.4.2? If not, please update.

Heya,
Everything is moving along quite nicely. I spoke to one of my co-workers that plays in a metal band and basically said I'm free to use any of their songs in AO. They're more deathcore, trash and some melodic, so I couldn't use it for the band per se. But they're good replacements for some of the tracks I use that I couldn't get the license for. I'll be busy most of this week with my wife and I's yearly birthday shenanigans, so I won't be getting a crazy amount done in terms of scene setup. PC's will still be chugging away at rendering, so that keeps on going at least!

Overall it's really solid. Great graphical fidelity and scene framing, a lot of interesting characters. MC feels a bit annoying on the nose of 'let's subvert all expectations' but I'll let it slide since the writing and dialogue is organic enough. Good music in general aswell.
That being said, there are a few things I noted that kind of got a bit annoying;
Definitely seems frontloaded on "hey look at this quirky character!" type individuals which doesn't always hit the mark with how they're written.
Some characters are just impossible to like. This mainly applies to Alexa. I mean fuck, you can't really get much more dogshit than "I'm alright with watching my daughter get beaten to death because I'm a grown woman incapable of introspection even nearly 20 years after my trauma". As someone with trauma and have worked with individuals who have trauma, that shit is just inexcusable and you can't really dig that character out of that hole and 'redeem' her after that shit.
Sometimes it feels like certain scenes are just trying to hard to be funny, if that makes sense? Like the organic dialogue just suddenly hitches and it tries to force humour out of it.
Pacing can feel a bit weird at times. Sometimes it feels very slow, other times you get a burst of things happening all at once.
I suppose I'll be back in like a year and play some more updates.

Ezy working for a game studio funded by Microsoft was a crazy reveal. Hope things work out if it comes to job hunting.
Not gonna lie, I need to stop jamming to Marcus' and Nyah's jam session to even start the game. Got me feeling nostalgic for back when my childhood friend and I were jamming to the Doom soundtrack. That and some other metal songs but I digress. That aside, the fact that Marcus kinda reminds me of me a bit so Imma just get this out of my system real quick and say...
All in all, I like this game already. Hopefully Nyah returns later on in the game. Don't care if she's an LI or not, I just wanna see those two have another jamming session. I'm just saying.

If you romance and commit to Alexa, you can gradually help to change her and help her heal.

Aww shit. I gotta start the game over then. I also gotta make some extra save files as I found out that I have to choose between Lily and Taylor. Seems like I can't have both. Even though I don't think Lily would have any issues sharing. I also realized upon reading the thread that Lily could've been my roommate instead of Joseph.
