Mine? I don't have a definition of it. It has it's own meaning and I don't substitute my own preferences.
NTR - has 3 forms. Netorare, Netori, Netorase

Netorare - The "bad" NTR. This is the one that the NTR tag on this site specifically refers to. MC has a LI stolen, by any means, away from him and it doesn't matter if it is shown or not, just that it still happens.

Netori - The "good" NTR depending on who you ask. usually nobody complains though. MC wins the heart/body of a woman that is already in a relation ship. Also by any means, whether genuine affection like romancing a woman who's husband is cheating or doesnt find her attractive anymore or is an abusing asshole etc, to more dubious methods...like blackmail if your MC is evil or an asshole. Pretty much the reverse of Netorare though that one is 99% of the time a malicious act of an antagonist.

Netorase - MC is a willing cuck and actively pushes his partner to sleep around. Maybe you could saw its similar to swinging/sharing but its usually more...degenerate? (The MC usually has a massive inferiority complex at least from what I have seen) But the main point is "Willing Cucklord", "Please fuck my wife", "The BBC stretching my girl's pussy is so HOT" type of shit.

Now this is where things get more personal. On this site there is a section of the crowd that will cry NTR(the bad kind) if anyone other than the MC is having sex on screen. Like another couple, husband and wife, etc. who aren't even involved with the MC sexually. Hell, if another male even exists in the story some will pop a blood vessel.
But yea, that is what the voyeurism tag is for usually if the MC stays and watches or has the option to do so. Personally I don't like this content either(unless its two girls) but I know not to conflate the two.
It's not necessarily bad but its like, if I am playing the game as the MC, I want to be in the action. Not watching "wasted" frames of other people having fun.

Also side note, if there is a future love interest, dont show her screwing around with other guys man. It might not be direct ntr but it still don't look good. Imagine watching your crush or a girl you find moderately attractive get with some other guy. It's not really ntr by definition but if you don't have cuck tendencies then it is unlikely that you will enjoy seeing that lol. Just common sense. Would argue destroys the image of said love interest. Also I'm pretty sure nobody wants to watch their ex or someone they rejected get railed either...Unless out of some sick sense of retribution for some wrong they committed. But those are some dark thoughts..

idk what to say about this. I think it's probably best to ignore them mostly but make it optional anyway. if you plan to do it. I mean I get it, different strokes but calling everything netorare is just unreasonable. The staff of the site does not consider frivolous girlxgirl to be NTR btw. I don't either unless I guess if it's like an absolute intent to cuck the MC. I have not seen such a theme expressed though.

All questionable shit in any case. It might not fall squarely into the definition but it sure doesn't feel good to watch from a main character perspective. Don't want to get into the whole immersion argument but that is what stories generally try to do.
If a player has no connection to the story and characters at all then said player is unlikely feel much of anything. Just fap to pretty image and move on. Begs the question why bother with a Visual "NOVEL" in the first place.

I agree that if, as a player, I have no connection to the characters, then why would I bother? I'd just go to a porn site with 4k real porn, it kinda goes against the whole point of an AVN. Unlike the old Penthouse mags, I actually am here for the articles

I'm also not interested in seeing or hearing about other characters sexual activities that don't involve the MC, period.
If a character in an AVN is screwing around and I, as the MC, know about it or worse, have to see it, then that character is dead to me as an LI or casual sexual partner, I'm no longer interested, I don't share or jump on other guys sloppy seconds IRL, why would I do it in an AVN?


Just like IRL, I don't want to hear about my friends or family screwing their partners and I certainly don't want to watch their sex tapes.
Most of all I don't want to hear or see anything to do with my sexual partners previous sexual encounters, it's a huge turn-off because I'm not a cuck, swinger or voyeur.

I've never "bruh'd" so hard until I read this. How do you NOT know the definition? I wouldn't be surprised if people on this site have a PHD in NTR studies cause of the many times we've heard the definition. I've stopped reciting definitions because it's SO tiring. But Fazed Spelled it out pretty clearly.

To be honest, You know how much I love your other game Powers That Be regardless of the flak it gets, but I NEVER would have expected you to add NTR to your games. To be fair, the current system of tags don't give us a good term for it. VNDB has a great tag called:

both of which describe it neutrally, that way the user can interpret negative/neutral/positive feelings to it. Voyeurism doesn't do that, nor does the infamous three letter word.

For most people it simply comes down to does anyone besides the MC have sex with any of the girls. Theres no tag that really goes with that.

I don't want to watch the dad bang the girls, I don't want to watch a teacher bang the girls, I don't want to watch the best friend bang the girls.

Its fine if thats the direction the game is going in, just means its not for me.

If you have this kind of content in your game, you usually summon two groups of people: those who hate it and don't play the game even if it's only one scene, and those who like it and play your game only because of it.

In my experience, trying to go the middle ground is the worst idea: making it optional or skippable or "just one scene" still pisses off the first group and dissappoints the second one. Either don't have NTR in the first place or go full in and have it fleshed out and an integral part of the story.

Usually the "Say no to NTR" crowd wants the MC to "get the girl(s)" and a story that revolves around their sexual relationships (including various other kinks, like incest) without any other dicks involved.
The "NTR yay" crowd wants somebody not the MC to "get the girl(s)" and a story that revolves around the development of the sexual relationships between the girls and that other guy as well as the power imbalance between MC and other guy.

I don't like NTR, nor sharing. In general I don't like to see guys other than the MC having sex (if it's voyeurism, let it happen, but I don't need to see it, if it's any other option, it's NTR or sharing, let it not happen at all). On the other hand, seeing LIs having sex with someone other than the MC usually annoys me (if they don't have a relationship with the MC yet, I prefer not to see it and not know what happens, if they already have a relationship with the MC, then it's or NTR or sharing, and I already said that I don't like it)

I would not use those tags you suggested for what I described either because hypothetically walking past a house and having the option to peek into the window and see a married couple getting busy is not "sex with others" or "heroine sex with others". That would be more like "others have sex" or something. In my scenario the MC is just a bystander and those two tags suggest either the male/fmc or a main girl(LI) fucks around and if its a main LI then that is squarely back to ntr/swinging/sharing adjacent territory.

The tags we have are close enough but yes I would like better a tag system. We've been waiting for years though so I wouldnt bet on it.

Except those tags I mentioned are applied only to Love Interests. So it would work for the purposes of this game. And as I said, the 3 letter word doesn't JUST get tagged for negative emotion. It SHOULD be. But it isn't because of a lack of proper tagging. No one uses Swinging as a substitute for Netorase. Though I understand why you're lumping them in, but all of these tags have nuances that put them apart. Regardless, maybe Burst Out Games got tired of Harem games and wanted to go into the En Tee Argh field? I don't know. It's weird and disappointing though. Oof! Can't play a game where ANY family member is a victim/subject of cucking.
