Translation: "I don't like sandbox games".I see they still haven't gotten over their fixation on terrible navigation. This game just doesn't look good enough to put up with it again: I'll tolerate it in "Milfy City" because I became invested in seeing how it ends but I'm not about to go through all the wasted clicks their nav/time management system requires for another game.
I'll have to give this one a hard pass.
I have to disagree, completely. I didn't HAVE to render an animated owl, but did it make the scene better? Yes it did. I'm happy with how it turned out. What one perceives as "wasteful" is different. Time spent on these animations were minimal. They aren't the craziest things to put together and I personally own multiple computers that I use for rendering. As soon as these images are ready to render, I move them to the other computer and come back to it as soon as it's done. I assume you believe wasteful effort is based on whether or not it's a lewd animation? Seeing as you're a game developer too, I'd not expect that ideology, (if that's the case).Played through the update now. Honestly? The characters' facial models for the family look pretty jank. The female friend is fine, I guess, but the mother's face looks so bad, I really lost all interest in her. Some of the animated parts baffle me too. You really didn't have to render an animated owl. Sure you can flex with this scene a but it served no purpose at all and the time could have been spend on different things. Rendering pictures with Daz studio is demanding enough but videos like this? Another issue is that there are too many rooms you have to switch between and the advance time option only works in certain places. I know it's probably hard for you to render even more images and you have to stretch the content because of it but the pacing really suffers due to the constant room switching.
I'm kinda staying for the sister but I'm not grabbed like with F.I.L.F. The biggest issue are the facial features, like I said. Maybe you wanted to make them seem more realistic but realism isn't needed for looks in a porn game as long as it looks good. If there is still a chance you might change the characters' looks, do it. I can 100% guarentee you, almost no one will complain about it. Maybe.
Concise? No...but this is a better post than the earlier one, because you gave concrete examples of what you didn't like. No, I do like sandbox games. I hate having to click my way back out through room after room to get outside so I can access the game map. It's annoying every time I have to change locations and even more annoying to have to do it just so I can advance time in the game because there are so many occasions where no device exists to advance time other than that button which you cannot use from anywhere but the map page. It's even more annoying than the games where you have to click multiple times on a scene page or a blank page for no reason in order to advance, or the ones that force you to click a "choice button" when there is only one option to "choose" from. Wasted clicks = wasted time = wasted energy = something to avoid.
Either make the "advance time" button useable from ANY location or make certain that EVERY time period contains some other action or device that triggers automatic advancement to the next time period. No, don't add some multi-click option to the MC's phone, either, just make the damn button that's always taking-up real estate on the top of the screen work everywhere, all the time. Do the same with the map or, at least, have the map button activate after you've clicked your way through every room/hall/place into a location so you don't have to click your way back out through rooms/halls/places you've already found to be empty. Even better would be if the map button and time button were grayed-out the moment you enter a location where some encounter/action-for-advancement will occur and stay grayed-out until that encounter/action is tripped or until you leave the location, giving players a hint in a game that is otherwise so full of nothing most of the time.
"Concise" enough for you?
As for expressing my opinion of a game: that's why these fora exist - or can we only express sycophantic devotion here, now?
I may add and likely will is the ability to go straight back to the main map from any place within a location as long as a scene isn't supposed to trigger on the way out. I also will likely add a way to go straight to your bedroom from the map if nothing is supposed to trigger on the way into it as well.Concise? No...but this is a better post than the earlier one, because you gave concrete examples of what you didn't like.
ICCreations he's saying this:
- Navigating in the house is a pain.
- My comment - Timestamps, for example, has a quick navigation bar that lets you go to any room from anywhere else in the house.
- Let us skip to the next time interval anywhere, not just at the main map.
- Let us go to the map from anywhere
- Grey out (and turn off) the time skip and map buttons when something is going to happen at the current location.
The scene didn't really improve by having an animated owl, story and artwise. It doesn't look all that good, mostly uncanny to be exact which was maybe your plan???, but I guess if you really aren't having issues with time while rendering that's okay. That wasn't the point though. I'm not saying animations are useless or anything. The point is that priorities are also important, but like I said if you got no problem with rendering, then it's okay. Animate what you want. I did only go by assumption that you were trying to pad your game anyway which many developers do. What would definitely improve your game though is speeding up the pace by not having so much filler inbetween scenes then. The "gaming" part is pretty longwinded, and not that challenging or interesting. Like, instead of shooting 4 images of animals to progress you could just do 1-2. The results would be the same anyway.I have to disagree, completely. I didn't HAVE to render an animated owl, but did it make the scene better? Yes it did. I'm happy with how it turned out. She looks definitely better here and it's cool to know that it's permanent. You already kinda changed her, which is all I've wanted. But the mother wasn't the only character I took issue with. The main character for example could also use some improvement in his design. Like I said, it was about the whole family, the mother was just one I took the most issues with. On a smaller note, don't assume everyone knows about everything you've ever posted or what you might plan to do. This was only my first impression of the game and I came in completely blind. Also to note, I assume you are talking about Julia? Her character is MEANT to look tired, overworked and just overall miserable. It's not meant to stay that way. I've posted images of her actual look multiple times. So no, I will not change it for you. Here is a picture of how she WILL look like after V0.2.
Again, I'd disagree. Progressing the story forward by cutting what I currently made feels like a rush to progress. 4 was a happy medium for my preference. I never make content to "pad" gameplay and I'm sure a lot of people make these assumptions when that just isn't true. This game is a story driven adult game. I personally won't rush things to lessen the story. The scene didn't really improve by having an animated owl, story and artwise. That's cool but it dragged on for me specifically. Maybe you don't see it as a developer, because you spend so much time on developing the game already, but that's why new players can comment on here to give you some insight on what they might or might not have liked to also get some outsider perspective. After all this game is still in development. Maybe it didn't drag on for other people, but it wouldn't hurt listening to the people who thought it wasn't so good. There is a way to please everybody here without compromising your vision and scrapping or redoing tons of work, ya know?4 was a happy medium for my preference. I never make content to "pad" gameplay
Well, am I the first one to criticise the main character's looks? If there are people who told you this too, maybe there is something to it. Can't hurt to have another opinion and maybe look into it, right? Also, I find no problem with the MC.
Can you blame them though, when almost every game on this site, styled like yours, gets heavily padded?I'm sure a lot of people make these assumptions when that just isn't true.
I'll have to stop you there. If you believe there is a way to appease everyone, you are definitely wrong. You should NEVER believe that is possible, because it simply isn't. Everyone has their preferences, likes and dislikes. That is game dev 101That's cool but it dragged on for me specifically. Well, yeah I'm gonna stop because I'm tired now. Again, you took the wrong things out of what I said to you. Your game is 110% perfect and everything else is just opinion. After 0.2 ICC will comeback to FILFVery good ICC. I like your new game here. Now get your ass back to FILF!
This is actually "life 101" Just do you and the people that like it will like it and the people that don't won't. Don't sweat the small stuff. I love that you've changed to this kind of story over your previous artifact games. They were fun too, but this, I just like it more. New mom is much easier on the eyes. Very nice. The story is good and the little suggestions that most people seem to making (easier time skips etc.) would definitely be little improvements to an already awesome looking game.I'll have to stop you there. I did the fantasy sketch, it turned out awesome as wellMan I loved it!! It's almost like a waky Walt Disney adventure movie on steroids. The two main charaters are so charming together. That skateboard sketch he did of Kim is printable for framing
