No, this is impossible for a completely different reason, for which a woman cannot be her own mother. although in the case of a man, he can become the father of his copy, thus giving rise to another parallel universe. for where did the seed that gave birth to this man originally come from? nothing can come from anywhere, or rather nothing can come from, because it's already there, that is, nothing that isn't anywhere haha =)
Don't try to break the causal link!

UPD: and already pregnant is not a reason because there is super-duper-cool thing known as superfetation or impregnation of womam which is already pregnant =)
Okay, so not advocating whatever prompted this reply, but as pure thought experiment...

If a 20ish yo woman went back in time 20ish years prior, gets knocked up, has kid, leaves kid behind, pops back forward in time...

How is that different from MC going back in time, knocking up Julia with himself, then going back forward in time, implied that he left the kid behind?

Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays! (4k Wallpaper)
The holidays are upon us, and as usual, I like to put together at least one wallpaper for occasion.
4k version available on patreon/substar!

Because the paradox is confusing... who's the original grandfather? better avoid that, other time travel games like Timestamp also avoid that.
he is.
because he had a "normal" father, because we must maintain a "balance of incoming and outgoing" because nothing can come from nothing (or rather, only nothing can come out from nothing).

well, the chronojump could have already been laid in the canvas of the history of the universe. provided that the chronological transition is possible in principle.

so a person who is, say, his mother's father (and his own grandfather) is by no means a "forbidden combination" of events, because one way or another, two different genetic lines participated in his birth - the father's line and the mother's line. the father gave birth to his son, the son chrono-jumps into the time of his grandmother and gives life to his mother, that is, his father, through his son, participates in the birth of his wife, who is essentially his *calculating* his... his.. his granddaughter, that is, MC's father was married to his own granddaughter. and his son was his grand-grandson. (how you like it, Elon Musk?)

chronoincest is a dish of spaghetti, but not a simple one, but when some pasta are combined with each other in unexpected places.

well, OK in the case of a man, if a man has inseminated a woman, conception has not yet taken place - he quickly "jumped" back in time. potentially, a man can become his own father. but this does not apply to a woman. How can she give birth to herself? will it turn inside out? in addition, one soul (ok ok for those to whom the word soul cuts their ears, let there be one person) cannot be in two bodies at the same time. in the case of a man, he left a seed in a woman and "ran home" (at one time) - the embryo has not happened yet, and therefore the soul of the future man has not yet been created - therefore, in principle, a man can become his father (that's just where his seed came from, his DNA code Where did it originally come from? that's a bunch of questions)
The DNA of an unborn child is built from the DNA of the father and mother - "only two give the third" (c)Hakunin from Arroyo village, Fallout 2 game.
of course, a mother can get the DNA of her child, consisting almost entirely of her own DNA, with the help of long-term close inbreeding, becoming pregnant successively from her sons (God grant her only so many years of life - the boy gives sperm at the earliest at 10 years old)

Why would she jump back? by the time of hers birth? until the moment of hers birth? And who's going to get her pregnant? from hers own son? Going back to point 1, the father's DNA does not appear out of nowhere, the seed must be given by an "ordinary" father, so that the child's DNA does not come from nowhere (or then the child is almost God, more precisely God, but then the beginning of time will happen - but let God not need a mother, God created himself like a star condensed from a protoplanetary disk under the influence of gravity)

Again, this is a theoretical thought experiment.

If a woman went back 20 years ago, bangs a guy from 20 years ago, waits 9months, squats out a girl, then goes back to the present, then that girl from 20 years ago grows up to hop back 20 years ago to bang some guy?

That is the exact same thing as a guy going back 20 years, banging a woman from 20 years ago, then goes back to the present leaving her to have a boy, then that boy 20 years ago grows up to hop back 20 years ago to bang some woman.

The only difference is the woman *has* to wait the 9 months to deliver the baby girl before leaving it behind to grow up to be 'her' in the present day that then hops back in time.

The male version *could* bang the woman and after knocking her up, immediately go back to the present, but he could also wait the 9 months first, check himself out being born, then go back to the present.

ufff. Returning to point 1, the soul cannot exist in two bodies at the same time.

so a mother giving birth to a girl who will become herself is already nonsense. the universe will break down. I assume that the boy is a god who created his DNA out of nothing and knocked up his mother. but the mother will give birth to his sister-daughter, but not to herself, because until the moment of birth, mother and child are one. and the baby is already alive in the womb.

The mother's soul must be transferred to the body of the embryo in her uterus. the adult body of the mother will fall into a coma - yes, this body can be maintained in a functional state until the moment of delivery, after which the unconscious body in a coma will give birth to a mother with an adult consciousness in the body. that's exactly the case, and only in this case, yes, a mother can give birth to herself if she can transfer into the body of her fetus.

So in a thought exercise where we are just hand waving made up technologies that allow time travel at will, your hang up is the 'soul', also something made up and undefineable?

Okay.

Then how did the male version transfer his own soul through his jizz after he banged some random woman in the past?

It's the same thing, man.

See guys, the whole thing is confusing as hell and unnecessary since he already have a daughter LI (Chloe) so giving him more of them is pointless, MC's father is that bad guy from the past, MC's grandfather is totally irrelevant to the story...

Oh, i know, it was a thought exercise only because someone made the claim that only a male could pull the ol 'go back in time and be your own father' trope, which while certainly easier due to not having to remain for the 9 months until delivery, isnt true.

By no means am i suggesting or advocating for any of that nonsense in this story.

No, that bad guy wasn't his real father. It was just the boyfriend of his mom. So when it was important, MC went back in time, impregnated his mom, and was gone again just before the bad man came back out of the cave behind the waterfall...

Pretty sure that was the Artifact, I'm talking about this game, they will not repeat it, also I remember ICCreations confirming it would not be the case, that bad guy is the father of the MC and she's pregnant already that's why she was crying, end of story.

Damn I need to replay this game, I didn't even know he had a dad, or that his dad was a bad person.... I remember the artifact's bad guy that played his father better....

Oh man, I mean I cannot remember any man mentioned in the story being MC father.

If I think about it, I only remember the one from the artifact...
The MC's father doesn't have to be mentioned to exist. You know, before all of the time traveling and everything, someone had to get his mom pregnant in the first place. Otherwise, the MC couldn't exist to then later travel back in time. (And no, as has been said already, in this game the MC will not be his own father.)

It could be to keep his patreon money flow....

But we will see...
