Are you planning to add a story mode for people like me who are only interested in the story?

I have been trying to come up with some ideas for that yes. Thing is if I code it as a regular VN I would have to figure out how I would handle the hidden and side event quests. Like I stated before while I want this project to be more game then story. It will still have story.
Either way I understand some people might not be interested the game aspect. So I do want to make something where you can experience just the story.

First, nice game, thank you! I have to admit at first I had a hard time with the text - too much, too fast, no punctuation no emotion... but your story is good enough that it didn't matter much. And it really improves with chapters.

quick message to let you know you have a typo - images.rpy L1118, reference to "c7_dreamlev3_1" instead of ch7_dreamelev3_1. Saving ai's broom-stuffed ass works better with a cocked gun I expect

Yes, the early part of the story, especially the prologue, was plagued with those issues. However, a fix has been submitted so I think the dev might have a surprise for you in the next update as I'm sure he'll apply the fix to the mess of the dialogue at the beginning.

There will always be a choice to avoid lesbian content, and there will never be just a lesbian scene the MC will always be involved always or at some point in that scene. I plan to add an option in preferences tab so you can turn it on to block the lesbian options from popping up

Yes there are some you can reject, such as Alex she is the first one you can reject. Alison is technically another one you can reject, but you mainly are just avoiding to sleep with her. However, you can't reject the main cast of females since they need to be there for the story and rejecting them would complicate the story.

Love Expedition 33, haven't had much time to finish it though.
I don't want to explain too much about New dead world, yet. While there will be RPG like mechanics like skills and stats. I want it to be more like in the style of this really old game I love called Rebuild. If you haven't played it I highly recommend it. It looks boring at first but its an amazingly fun game. Here's a pic:

If you play this you'll get a pretty good grasp at what I'm aiming for.
but I also want to implement P.O.I's that you'll discover through items, quests obtained.
It'll be more of a base builder game/dating sim/RPG/looting for resources to survive and craft/zombie game.
This still doesn't really cover everything I'm excited for in this new project, I'll try to share some more on it later. But I hope this helped, even if just a little.

I played all three of em. Got them in one of the Humble Mobile Game bundles, or wouldn't have bothered.
They are decent little time wasters if you have to kill a few minutes while sitting on the toilet. All three of them aren't great games; they snowball way too fast, so that all threats stop being threats. On the other hand, I would have stopped wasting time with them way sooner if every problem had led into a dead spiral.

To make that stuff entertaining, the balancing must be on point, and I'm talking StarCraft: Broodwar level of on point in balancing. Otherwise, it's either a waste of everyone's time via meaningless chores or via constant dead spirals because you did one thing wrong.

New Dead world is what I'm calling the new VN for now.

I wanted to finish Altered before I started a new project, I know what you mean when you said that there are quite a few devs who start multiple projects and finish none. I thought a lot about how to approach this new project, so I can work on both projects efficiently. I can't really explain much as of now, but I do have an idea on how I plan to schedule everything out. Plus I will have friend or two who will be helping me write up story events for New Dead World. Altered will still be solely worked on by me.
I want to be transparent with everyone New Dead World will be a subscribe star and (Maybe patreon) funded game. At release There will be a free demo version with a good amount of content so anyone can try it out and that way people can make their mind whether they would like to support it or not. Future updates will be available for free to everyone, but at a later date.
I had to make this decision due to some recent events in my life, leading to me needing a second source of income. Now I am aware that devs who do this don't really make much or anything at all. I'm just hoping I can achieve enough support for what I need.
I will do my best to keep releasing all updates for both projects at well paced intervals.
Altered will still be completely FREE.
