Could someone explain why the stated file size for the Android apk is 3.2 gigs, but, when downloaded and saved to my phone, it only shows as being 2.97 gigs? It also refuses to install with the error that the apk isn't valid.
re-dl.

Is there an Android build for latest update? As i understand it you have to downlaod the pc version onto your phone then use joiplay or such and run it in joiplay.

I've downloaded the file multiple times with the same results as stated before.

You know, when I have a game that I love, I wanna recommend people about it, and answer their questions if I can in hopes that they'll get more interested, and maybe give it a shot. Am I really alone here?
I'm a bit biased here because I'm a part of MrKnobb's team. That makes me careful not to recommend AE to anyone, especially to someone that I don't know, like you. I said to you to give it a try in my first reply, though.

I have no idea what this means, can you rephrase this, please?
You originally asked if it felt like an awkward translation. I could have answered to you simply "There is no translation into English." Sorry for too much information. :)

I read at a pretty fast rate, and if the dialogue is well paced, I usually end up hitting enter every 3-8 second? Do you think the time it will take me closer to 2 hours, 5 hours, 10 hours, or 15 hours or 20 hours to go through this project?
If one playthrough would be like 10k dialogue lines and you didn't spare any extra seconds to choices, animations or renders, with your own estimate it would take anywhere between 30k to 80k seconds (8h20min to roughly 22h). That's a big window where to place my guess. Skipping the whole game from after entering MC's name to the end took five and half minutes (5:30) and I spent maximum of 1 second to choose the choice with most content. That should give you some information if you ever have skipped content you have previously seen.

I'm a slower reader when there is an image to go with text but I've read a 900-page novel in English in three evenings (18 hours in total maybe, making it a bit more than minute per page) in the 1990s when I had nothing better to do and the novel was really captivating. Although I didn't know exact meanings for many words because at the time English was my second foreign language that I learned at school. I know now that I got the general idea. I then read the same book in my native language and I devoured it in a single Sunday. :)

I'll check it out.
Good, I hope you enjoy!

Oh, well I didn't know this, fair enough. Appreciate you trying to help.

Again, I appreciate you trying to help, and thankfully Firebeast gave me a more clear answer, but I want to ask you this:

If you were in my shoes asking the questions that I'm asking, and I gave you this answer, how exactly would any of this help you make a logical determination on how long this will take to finish? How would this help you?

I also said that I'd like to offer you some advice:

Please get display picture for your account. I wouldn't have been as on edge when I was first talking to you if you had one.

It's in my signature. I assumed that you saw that.

If you were in my shoes asking the questions that I'm asking, and I gave you this answer, how exactly would any of this help you make a logical determination on how long this will take to finish? How would this help you?
Yes, it would. Because I gave my own estimate of my reading speed and got min/max estimates in the time unit I was originally asking. Although, I could have used the line count given earlier to multiply it with my own estimate that was 3-8 seconds per line so I could have thanked for answering me.

But, I wouldn't have been in your shoes in the first place because I don't ask strangers for their opinions for a trivial thing like if I should try a VN/game or not. I just try it if I feel it's a good one for my likings. :)

I also said that I'd like to offer you some advice:
Please get display picture for your account. I wouldn't have been as on edge when I was first talking to you if you had one.
You being on edge wasn't because of me not having a profile picture/avatar. ;) But, it's slightly worrying that a single image has so much influence in your thinking. Yours, btw, has been originally made by a VN dev that may or may not have given a permission (to you) to use it as your avatar. Thanks for the advice. I'll try to look for a good avatar...

I tried to help you and you didn't feel that I did... Let's stop this back and forth because it's not about AE anymore so it's already off-topic. :)

normally i find VN's here to be lacking the N and sex to be overused for popularity's sake.
this one feels different as, even though there is a lot of sex, the story still pushes on at a good pace.
the hooks are in (y) :)

very entertaining so far

Finished this game last night and was suprised. Prety dam good. Can't wait for the next update !
It will be a new season; this is the end of Season 1...

Just a heads up for the ones who are playing this game and enjoying it and wanting to continue.

This is very IMPORTANT do not skip reading it!
Please take note of the following:
At the end of each playthrough you will get a choice to "export" the choice/path you are on. This is an one at a time thing. You can do it many times but will have to play each choice/path up till this "export" option at the end of Season 1. The best way forward is to keep your Season 1 AE game and wait till Season 2, episode 1 starts. In s2e1. you will have an option called "Continue from Season 1" slider button which you choose, and it will pick up the exported option you created in Season 1. Play this exported option till s2e1 actually starts then save it to a save location and name it accordingly.

Once that is done, open v1.9.0 (season 1) again, choose a different playthrough and do the export part. Open season 2 game and do the import, play a bit and save. repeat to transfer (export) multiple playthroughs. Please take note, your actual game/save folder files WILL NOT WORK by copying and loading in Season 2. ONLY the export option will transfer your playthrough across.

you mean famous 3 letter tag?
no i mean the N in visual novel.
never understood the fuss about ntr as all porn is basically that for me. not my dick in that vid going into that girl i like, so i can take it or leave it. no skin off my nose if a game has it or not.

i got hooked in to VN's when i first read fate/stay night as the concept was great, even though long winded.
i then read any i could find which had me indulging into being deep under water in a base, running around post war japan as a detective in a horror story twice, flirting with a few different girls with issues around some special college, and getting trapped in the occult doings of some school kids. i even spent time with one girl with just the two of us on the entire planet.

during all these, the story drove them and sex was occasional in differing degrees. what i find now with many developing VN's is that the story takes a back seat to sex/visuals. understandable as sex sells and this is the age of subscription building without accountability.

i prefer a good read with visuals to heighten the experience rather than lead it. anything story driven is more my aging speed ;)

like the ones i mention above, i like the different places i normally never would experience, that a good writer can take me. sex is optional. after all, steins gate has none but is widely rated.

I agree. Story and sex added to only spice up the VN is important to me.

This game, AE for instance there is something going on with the MC. I have a few playthroughs. The one is without any of the so called sidefuck girls. There still lots of sex to be had but much less so and one can really focus on the story and dialogue then.

Then there are games like The intoxicating flavor and Now & Then to name a few with some great story ideas and script.

The first half of now & then was soooo good. I haven't played the complete version yet tho. Maybe they made some changes?

The story just evolved from there on. I love the girls in the game. I ended up choosing the mom... i just felt she needed to be loved more than any of the other girls.

So I played through season 1 in a matter of a day and a half, in general this game is not as good as Remembering the Past. Characters have much less of an impact on the story, some of them seem to just be there for random sex encounters without much detail given to them. People like Amber, Lorraine, Gigi and Gabi.

The Girlfriends being a GUARANTEED FAIL pisses me off. I get that given Andi's character she wouldn't be into it, but Tania seemed like she would have even been open to the idea but she still ran off. Like why did you bother making them unavoidable if they were always going to be a loss? And then there's better characters like Rosalind, who I wanted from the start, who were flat out avoided. It just all feels like so much more could have been gained from less characters who don't matter and more characters that do.

The story driven ones, the family and the Space Girls, have a much greater impact. Then there's the blind sister who we only get to see twice who is 10x more interesting than the camgirl or the slutty librarian. We get teased with Francine only for her to end up with the brother, which I'm not totally against but it's still dumb that she's on the profiles page if that's the case. Speaking of, the Profiles page, why does Anne not have one? I kept waiting for it to unlock and there are still ones even at the end of Season 1 that are still blacked out.

There was such a chance for more drama or interesting scenes with Charmane if Summer found out about it, but after the third encounter with her you never see her again. And you only see her with Summer ONCE. Some best friend.

It just feels like a good 60% of the characters in the game are a giant waste of space. And what really bugs me in this game is the MC's ability to get every girl he comes across. Now, there may be some plot related reason why based on the ending of this season. But for the majority of the game so far, we have no reason to know why. He just starts beefing up, getting weird powers, grows a giant dick and starts tapping everything around him. Apparently before the game, he was a giant loser beta. So a little fucking context in 9 chapters would have been nice. With Jensen we knew WHY by at least the middle of the first season. The sex encounters had a reason. Irresistible pheromones' that made women lust after him. But Werner has nothing like that. So leaving people in the dark made all the random sex seem even more absurd.

They are all going to be back next season, you're talking like that's the end of them....

The story needs to build and drama needs to happen, be patient.

Remembering the Past.
Retrieving.

The Girlfriends being a GUARANTEED FAIL pisses me off.
You do know that this is a part of the story, right? I know of professional authors that even kill half of the cast that they spent half of the content to get us readers to get attached to. George RR Martin comes to mind first for beheading the lead character (Lord Stark) and later there was the Red Wedding.

the Profiles page, why does Anne not have one?
She does. And it unlocks in the cafe scene. See attached images. (I cleared my persistent and saves to test it out using the vanilla 1.9.0.) By the way, Rob has a profile too. ;)

overarching story is a complete chaos... so is it aliens and time travel people? or all of them are aliens? or all of them are future people from different planets? are they some kinda of cults? corporations? government? what the hell is even happening?
it was fine dating girls, dealing with life problems, adjusting to new life with a family, building harem, some drama here and there... tune down MC's pussy magnet and you got a decent game... but you also got this incoherent scifi mess and it doesn't look like dev knows how to fit it in the story, who cares about proper structure or setup, look there instead - MC have a big dick and he is nailing bunch of chicks! and now pewpew space ships! isn't it cool? uh...
i hope next season put some thought into it and not go completely off the rails
