Well, if you like it, cool, but that does not mean the other person is incorrect because they view it a certain way. I would always weigh opinions on merit and if someone points to a story point and states what they liked or did not like about it and gives an example why, I am more likely to consider that opinion as it is more grounded in reason.

What I will say is with the name alternate existence maybe this MC is from another reality or is going to another reality or things are not as they seem. So maybe nothing matters yet which is why the writer says these plot points so far are not to be worried about.

But I will play it, whenever I get around to it, looks like it might even be review worthy considering that it seems to be hotly talked about. So might be interesting.

Your question is easily answered. "The characters having sex and not with the MC", are "Sidefucks and i guess a bit romantic part to them" <--- quoted from one of the Dev's recent posts and applying to one of the two characters that are involved. The other one is for now no (future) MC harem member/(future) MC love interest. Can be subject to change if many people start to want her in.
The same answer goes for the voyeur part.

Even after the all this shitsorm i still want Samara actually i think most people too. But don't let her become something like sidefuck romance bullshit. Which Anne or Summer being just sidefuck romances stupid to me. I think they should be in the Harem Member category. Make Samara a harem member or a LI. Which i think to me harem member sounds better.

Did you use the patch? I skipped through the game without it, just to see the changes and I got the same scene as before with her. There are two choices there, check her out and peek at Anne. Unless you mean something else I don't remember.

I think I found the problem. I deleted the game again. Then crawled through the %appdata% subfolders to find if there is anything related to this game. Found one and removed it. There were savegame files and some persistent thing. Afterwards I installed the game anew and tried again and now I finally see the red eyes animation. Also suddenly I see a ton of these orange text transitions between scenes, that I didn't see before either.

My hunch is, that this persistent file in the %appdata% sub folder was from the first release. And it perhaps messed up how the current one behaves. I have never seen that in any other renpy game before.

Though I never encountered these problems. Neither while Beta-testing nor testing the final build which is available here.

I definitely got the impression that's a recent thing, I mean he only has 1 female friend(and so far, she seems to be his only friend too). Maybe more will pop up later, but I feel like his "touch" with the ladies was almost zero if not zero when the game start.

Edit: there was the hooker(?) at his building too, but I don't know how well they know each other. She seems friendly, but that could just be part of her job.

honestly, that might just add to the confusion. If he didn't had any sexual experience being thrown to that house? I mean, it's a blessing sure, but also scary as shit when you don't have much experience in the field.

He is obviously horny, but he is a guest in their home. It's a porn fantasy, sure, but if the game try to put a "realistic" twist to it? it can be quite daunting.

My harem/LI rule is pretty simple - I don't care if I witness a girl fucking another dude, another chick, or being tag teamed by both, as long as that girl hasn't cheated or betrayed the mc in anyway, she has a chance to be welcomed into my love nest. The fact that the mc saw that fat ass cook hammering Samara into the wall makes it more interesting because I want to steal her from that greasy motherfucker. Sometimes I want a sunshine and roses harem, other times I want a messy, more complicated harem. Variety is the spice of life. Of course, once initiated into my love nest, no more dudes allowed.
