So other developers (veteran and new) can avoid getting into the same situation? that seems like a really good point.
so far you've said that none of the guesses are the true reason. that would mean there is something not in patreon guidelines that got you banned. sharing the reason can save more developers to fall into the same problem.
I've always wonder how some developers get banned while others who explicitly use bestiality, shota, incest (blood related) don't. I've even seen some that could fall into the underage category (since they never state characters ages), yet their patreon pages keep getting updated.
I've been thinking for a while to make my own games, but getting to know cases like this one makes me think carefully. Why no one says exactly what got them in trouble?. That would help a lot so this doesn't keep happening.

Uhhhh, incest ain't that commonly illegal... really depends on what type.
There's just the perception that it's illegal.
Also patreon didn't touch beast for ages, incest was the first to go. (cause political bs, and the patreon TOS team are into that shit).
Didn't know that, so can count me among the surprised.
Also, I think I saw on the blog post that "no one guessed correctly" at what they did get in trouble with Patreon for, and since those things seem like the obvious choice, maybe its got nothing to do with fetishism.
But, since they absolutely refuse to talk about it, sounds like we'd be angry if we knew.
Too shota also sounds too reasonable for the team to not have suspected, and also too harmless for them to not admit to the community, so I'm not sure about that one either.

Dev didn't want to make it anymore and took the first excuse they could to abandon it and work on something else.

Apparently some people are still busy cooking up wild theories about why we started a new project. I’ve already explained it like ten times above and in the comments, but sure, let’s keep pretending I owe a personal response to every “why don’t you just keep working for free on a free game” take.
Anyway, while the speculation continues, I posted a new devlog on our site:
