because its a bullshit patreon reason. might have something to do with the fact that some months ago some people that had a grudge against certain developers were editing their pages on F95zone saying their games contained incest and then reported them to Patreon. Patreon shut down quite a few pages because of it for about three months or more but some of them were grateful they had SS as backup because they didn't lose much money. I don't know why most developers keep using Patreon especially with their strict rules and their censorship. and maybe now they finally got hit and patreon just said ''fuck you''
I don't understand it either maybe because Patreon has more renown then SS ? Patreon seems to restrict conent more and more now it's the certain fetishes who are banned but eventually they will ban all NSFW content.

So many things kept vague and open to interpretation...

- If the patreon shut down had nothing to do with what was being speculated, what was it then? "Bad luck" is not an explanation, they must have had a reason. If you can't / don't want to disclose it, just say so. Dancing around the issue is worse.

- Ok, you can't continue Alvein under Patreon, but other platforms exist. Is that a consideration, or can we just write off the game as dead? I'm assuming its the latter?

- There was at least an acknowledgement that you did "disappear", but still no explanation as to why. Going from "released tomorrow" to more than 1 year later isn't something that happens by misscalculation.

Having a website to keep people on the loop is not gonna matter if you're not straight with them.

Regardless, you are a talented artist, and I have no doubt the new game will be good. I just hope the development goes substantially smoother this time.

I don’t really see the point in revealing what exactly got us banned, so I’d just describe the situation, not the reason behind it.

I can't confidently speak on things I don’t fully understand myself. Right now, we’re working on a different game—that’s it. Alvein isn’t in development at all at the moment, and honestly, it probably won’t be coming back. This whole situation is just as confusing for us as it is for you.

Patreon didn’t send us any kind of message explaining the situation.
It was literally just: “You’re banned. You can’t monetize Alvein on our platform anymore.”
That’s it.
Even though we do know the reason for the ban, it doesn’t change the fact that a lot of things were left unsaid.

The things that were holding back development are gone now. No point in discussing it too much before the project is actually out.

No, there's plenty of point.
Why did you keep your payments open and not show any results for it? What made you come back and are you gonna shit out an update once a year? And will you fix the god awful English? Your post just now seems fine so why can't the English be fine in the game as well?

And most importantly:
Why in god's name are you using the rage sign seemingly random in character conversations? I asked this important question two times now but I don't see an answer.

Do you know what it represents? If you somehow didn't realize it, it's used when a character is mad. Why does it pop out randomly?

Genuine question here, if the game is being abandoned because of the patreon situation, why not just use a patreon alternative like subscribestar? Unless you guys doesn't have the passion to work on Alvein anymore, i don't see any good reason not to move over to subscribestar and continue the development of the game, or at least make a final update to wrap things up.
