RPGM - Alvein [v99e] [Yni]

I didn't expect to be pulled into this game so hard! Finished the whole thing in about 10 hours. Story was great so i didn't even skip it like with most games. And damn boy the art of this one is perfect! Gameplay is very enjoyable, puzzles and other minigames are great. The only issue for me is lack of sex scenes with most girls and not enough Ada and Emilia scenes. Hope to see way more content in the future!

Pros: fantastic art, has animation (could use some work, but better than nothing), fun fantasy setting with unique races for love interests.
Cons: It feels more like wandering around than playing an actual game while getting the scenes, some of the content with the girls is minimal and pretty tame (this might change in future builds though so no points off for that).

While the world and characters themselves were pretty interesting, the main story doesn't feel too fleshed out yet. The art is phenomenal, with the Halloween event scenes being my personal favorite so far! The animation could do with a little more smoothing out and variation, but the art is so good that it doesn't seem like a huge deal overall. My favorite characters were the little barkeep dwarf and dark elf mayor, so I'm really hoping they get more content focused on them and that they go much further than they have so far, the barkeep in particular has some very mild scenes so far. The gameplay itself could use some work, with more mini games and less walking back and forth through the maps hoping to stumble on something. The character stats could also feel a lot more impactful than they currently are if that's something they want to keep around. Overall, I loved the art and setting, but would like to see the gameplay and story brought up to that same level of polish. Can't wait to try it again a few builds down the line!

So far one of the few games I've ever decided to be a patron for here. Not only is the art just great, it has some good scenes and set-ups.

But I guess more than that, I actually enjoyed the story being told, a random mix of comedy and romance that feels just right.

I think this game has really amazing portrait arts for the characters, but that’s about the only place where it shines. Its main flaw is that grinding for the scenes is a chore. The obvious comparison is with town of passion. In ToP, the mini games broke up the lewd content but still felt connected to it, didn’t take too long, and were kind of arcade-y and mildly fun. Occasionally you went on dates that were full of personality and were generally cute. In this game, you have to earn every scene by doing some really long fetch quest that feels like it’s padding out time spent in the game and doesn’t add anything.

There’s also no outfit collection in this game which ToP has over it. But, this game’s portraits are so much better than ToP. And Alvein has some girl-on-girl content already while ToP was never willing to venture from vanilla content, so Alvein does do a few things right in comparison.

Overall this game has a great style and super sexy characters, but really isn’t much of a well-flowing experience between gameplay and lewd scenes, and that really hurts the project overall. It’s just not enjoyable to play despite how great the girls look, and that’s why this game is a 3-star experience to me.

Excellent game so far. Top tier art and character designs, sexy scenarios and writing, gameplay is puzzle based and manages to do the job without being annoying or grindy.

Only real complaints are that by far the most boring characters (the blondes) are the most complete so far and that the update pace is, while not horrendous, a bit slow.

The game is quiet interesting, with good art and interesting characters, aslo the story aint bad, over all pretty fun to play, but not worth YET, defently will be once its done, lookming forward to it

Best game on the platform, hands down. Absolutely stunning art, hot girls and very polished gameplay. The story and characters just slap cheeks. Free of bugs, not very grindy. Progression feels natural and the difficulty is satisfying.

3 stars because I enjoyed the art and puzzles were (most of the time) fine and not annoying.

Alvein is just another walking simulator but this time you are a little boy who gets kidnapped by pedo goddess into a world full of horny pedo women who wants to fuck little boys where you are told that your dad was guardian but he was a wimp and he ran away with you well okay.

Gameplay is pretty much a walking simulator, you got to visit multiple females and do fetch quests to gain favor from them I've seen it in 40x other games, and here the author really loves to play with your balls the grind to get your aunt to show her panties is tedious same can be said about any character in this game not to mention you play as a little boy so if you expect any combat then forget it it's all about puzzles and they are mostly fine and easy sometimes insulting too easy however there are puzzles which I found annoying they weren't hard but just annoying like figuring code to open the lock to the closet so you can grab your debt documents it was just added to waste your time.

The story is pretty weak imo it just you are the guardian and your goal is to get into the panties of every woman in your town that's it oh yeah there is this guardian stuff but the game regards it as a side objective and nothing relevant, you also play as a child and I wouldn't mind it if you could eventually grow into a young adult but no you are a small boy with gargantuan cock also main character writing just turned me off I personally prefer playing mute character and if you have to make my character talk give me options what to say but given that my character looks like 8 years old I'm surprised he has boner like 15 yrs old teen they should improve writing for the main character oh yeah that ghost dude or whatever his name sounds like if he was written by a girl because that's because he sounds more like a discord internet 17 years old tough guy would sound rather than an alpha male who dicked entire town every day also I'm surprised how Ygrette doesn't find suspicious that my character who i named little shit somehow manages to beat the shit outta her when he was 5 mins ago pissing his pants but again most of us just came here to jerk off and not give a damn about story writing oh yeah also why is my mom aunt not wearing bra but when she is in her underwear she actually wears a bra???

Sex scenes are the strongest part of this game, they are animated, they look great no complaints there tho I would expect drow mayor to be dressed properly and not like a strip club whore anyway here is one complaint and that's how the dev is on purpose giving us so little in terms of sex to potentially force more people to give him money and probably milk more $$$ outta us hehehe nice try.

Anyway, 3 stars 1 for trying to be original with puzzles and 2 for animated well-made sex scenes I only recommend it if you want to jerk off it has really great sex scenes but there are only a few of them and you need to grind your ass to unlock them.

Art is 10/10. Actual gameplay is straightforward and well done. You probably won't need a guide to complete all the content, which I love. No sex with the "maid" or her sister yet (the blondes) but the art with them is hot as hell. When this game is done I can easily see it being one of my favorites. Also, the MC is cute af. Younger male protagonists are the best.

Only wish that I could actually see his entire body in his scenes. I hate the floating penis or hands thing that games do. Seeing his entire body would make it 10x hotter but also make animating it a lot more work. The easiest solution to this is to not animate scenes with his full body and have a couple different key images, sound effects, on screen effects, and more dialogue.

Personally I don't like POV. Ada footjob scene would've been hotter if you could see all of the MC and also his reactions. I haven't finished all of Ygritte's scenes yet so I'll update this review once I do.

Game is ok for now, the story is not interesting enough to keep you playing when you reach the goal of banging the one you want. It's sad because there are some nice ideas.

The drawings are good, the proportions are kept from one drawing to another. Beside the nose of everyone I like them.

Major flaw is the gameplay, beside some "mini games" it's more of a visual novel where you run around than a rpg game.

I think it can be a good game if some interesting gameplay are implemented.

The Art is amazing but at the end there were too many flaws to give this game a good rating in my end.

The story as of now is not good but not terrible either. The plot is nothing new and it kinda ends where it starts which makes it kinda raw. Hopefully it'll be more interesting in later updates.

The gameplay unfortunately is very tedious and boring. A sandbox game in this style should have repeatable sex scenes to unlock in order to motivate one spending hours into gameplay and to make the game dynamic. Maybe even some achievements and collectables. You have to pay quite a bit to see past scenes which needs to be grinded.

Overall there is too much missing since the game seems still quite in a early stages, thus I can't imagine in which direction this game will go currently.

The worst thing I can say about the game is MC design, mostly the shirt. It was funny in the opening cut-scene but after you get isekai-ed into a fantasy world you are still wearing a 3 year old meme on your shirt (plus it shows up in some sex scenes too) and it takes me out of the experience.

TLDR - Good game, it's still early in it's development but has a good amount of content. Looking forward to new updates.

I don't know if this game is inspired or is the same deleloper, but if you liked Town of Passion, probably you would like this one. Even uses the same system or parameters like agility, strength and intelligence, and also the day is divided in 4 periods, morning, mid day, evening and night. So no surprice here.

Also as ToP, you start living with your moth...maid, after you get transported to this isekai world, but for me, that don't make any difference in the character, i would have prefered, the MC to came in town by train... that would have make more sense that -"i came from other world, but before i lived here so a live here now" plot.

So, a problem i found is that there is not explanation of how to get more money and the money you received in the first part of the game, is too little. Working with your maid give you from 1g-5g coins, but everything cost like 25 or 30, and you need at least 50 to buy the slephamer and axe, to restore the bar, so you can get a solid income working there. Working in the town hall, only give you like 10 coins once and selling a jewel give you 24 coins max, so yeah, money is a real problem. You can't sell anything also. A solution could be making things more accessible or making the fish net more easy craftable, or a part time work in the city hall, or with the witch or more money in the jewel selling mission.

This game probably would get better in no time, girls are likable, the art style is good, and i don't see where could this game got any wrong. i would change my 4 stars to 5 stars once the game is finished, so this a temporaly review for a game that goes in a good way.

I was very surprised by the amount of quality this game has. First off, the art for all the characters is fantastic. I am a big fan of this art style, and the characters dont look completely ridiculous. The stories for each characters arc are actually decently thought out and creative. I especially appreciate how the dev didnt rush into any scenes with most of the characters. Knowing that a gradual build up is always preferred to jumping into things right out of the title screen. The world is also actually kind of charming. I found myself thinking of stardew valley on a few occasions. The english could be polished but it was never bad enough that I couldnt figure out what was going on.

Overall, I would highly recommend this game in its current state, there is more than enough content for an enjoyable playthrough. After more updates, I could see this game becoming a true gem. I will be looking to donate a bit of money for this game, because I think it really has that much potential

Art and game seem nice but the early game money making is a massive slog with as far as I've found only 1 repeatable source of income of 1-5g 1 time a day assuming its not raining making. Detracting from any real drive to put more time into it. Also oddly few things are tracked in the quest book it seems.

October 2023 Update
At v99a, Alvein is coming into the swing of things. It's not a perfect title yet but I'd call it worth a play now. 3.75 stars, forcibly rounded up to 4. Big changes:

• Experience: This whole bullet boils down to "less grind". At the moment there is an option when starting a new game asking you if you want to use cheat mode or not. What the dev calls "cheat" mode, I would call "I ain't got time for BS" mode. It just instantly gives you a game week or so worth of gold, and a couple weeks worth of skill levels (AKA shaves the grind down quite a bit). For all I know, this feature could have existed when I last played because the dev dissuades new players from using it (tells us not to unless we've played before). I find this to be unfortunate as imo "cheat mode" should be the normal mode. If I had not selected cheat mode, this game would probably be getting 2.75 (round to 3) stars from me today. Even in cheat mode, it took ~2hrs to get to the good stuff with ~2 characters (a healthy time), but I never felt like I was grinding (just a little fetch-questy sometimes). Also, thankfully they have removed the "grind-money-to-rewatch scenes" mechanic.
• Content: The other half of the increase is due to the addition of animations and a good amount of scenes. Still not an excessive amount of content (you can see the amount of scenes in the gallery, although you can't play them until you see them in-game), but what I'd call a healthy amount. I mainly focused the dark elf, there was a lot of foreplay type scenes, one handy, one blowy, and a vaginal scene - Not impressive, but adequate, and there are a number of other characters too so overall I'd say things are in a relatively good spot.

I foresee this game growing into a 4 or possibly 4.5 star game based on what the dev trajectory looks like today. If dev wants to make my 5 star game list, they need to add pregnancy, and they must better embrace the fact that there is a massive audience who does not want their story-based hentai games to involve grinding stats, keeping a budget, etc. Ex: instead of normal mode and cheat mode, call it game mode and story mode (AKA two equally valid ways to experience the game), and explain the difference between them. Also add an instant gallery unlock feature. Also add fast travel (directly to girls, ideally from pause menu). Maybe add a "skip minigame" feature (I personally like the minigames but it's easy to understand why some don't). Etc. Alternatively, if dev decides they've balanced things (how they like it) and removes "cheat mode", I expect I'd drop this back to 2.75 stars. We'll see, but I'm hopeful that the upward trend continues.

This game is very different, but a breath of fresh air. There's no Combat Grind, and things are handled in a more organic manner. There are a couple of bugs/glitches- such as getting the Librarian's Spiel when you ask a certain person out- but other than that, it's got an enjoyable, slow buildup for it. No diving in and fucking everyone in sight in THIS game- the H-Scenes feel properly earned. Some of the challenges and minigames are quite difficult, but then, if they were all easy it would diminish the game as a whole.

Aside from that, this game managed to work in a fantasy of mine that I haven't managed to find elsewhere- spanking a Dark Elf. LOTS more of that please!

I hope to see MUCH more of this in future. (And a Dark Elf who doesn't want to sit down again for the forseeable.)

The quests must not be so long before a reward like the ones for ada, when you have to spend more than 20 minutes for a single new scene its to much you know, like low money earning and high priced items, this totally breaks the vibe.
But instead this point the game is pretty nice, the art is good and is unique like the witch girl for example, include more beatiful unique girls there would make it even better.
