Don't know if you're still having trouble with this but what I did was add the age.exe to lutris set runner to wine create a wineprefix for it then click on it in lutris then click the arrow next to the wine glass on the bottom select winetricks then select default wineprefix, select install a font and just add every Japanese font.

hey, i managed to run this game on steamdeck but i still have an issue actually playing it. When i open options in game menu it crashes even though i have installed fonts (had to copy them from windows, because the winetrick would throw error). Do you have any clue what could fix this issue?

Make sure in the fonts folders are ms gothic and ms mincho fonts.
I don't know how steamdeck works, but is there a way to open the game through a terminal so you can see the system informing you about the problem? On pc opening the terminal from the games folder and typing LANG="ja_JP.UTF-8" wine AGE.EXE will start the game.

still couldnt make this work. I had to try this using flatpak because i cant install wine due to partition getting full but even while using flatpak i get error c0000135. chat gpt told me to install microsoft visual c++ and even then its still not working. linux is so cooked
