Just a quick update that I am working on a animation that turned out to be a bit longer than my usual stuff so it's taking me some time. Currently I'm at 50 seconds and from the looks of things, it should be around a minute with multiple transitions.
I don't like to do radio silence and it's been a while from my last post so to at least let you guys know that I'm alive and working.

Unrelated but at this point is SFM kind of formally thought of as an obsolete or second rate engine to render in? Are there any artists doing really good NSFW animations in SFM?

I believe most have switched to blender. It just doesn't make sense to be doing shit in SFM in 2022.

Finally got everything set up and running with my new PC so tried my hands at Cycles and who better to try it with than Wondy chilling at Themyscira. Still need to figure out the general gist of it settings wise and how each light setting works exactly, but I'm pretty satisfied with my first attempt.
Definitely a weird feeling lighting up a scene with pretty much just a few lights as in eevee I need to slap quite a bit to achieve something 'decent' at best especially when it comes to anything related to day scenes, but I really like it so far and this time around I have a rig that actually keeps up with it so I'm excited to work with it.
As of right now, I'm not sure if I'll fully switch because as good as my current PC is and with how much faster cycles is, you still really can't beat eevee when it comes to render speed. Longer projects would be rendered way quicker in eevee compared to cycles, but maybe I can get something faster with settings. I'll test things out.

Maybe not the best idea to put them right next to each other... I mean what could go wrong?
Had this idea of doing a small promo that sets up the background/setting for the next animation. I Have to say, the more I practice and use cycles the more I like it. I did have to tweak some shaders and I still need to get used to it, but lighting is just a whole different ball game with cycles comapred to eevee. Excited to see it in action with animations.
