it seems there is no way to leave the dungeon other than the return magic

BTW, crash fix for missing isInRange function after loading. The author put the function in data.json and expects it to be loaded after loading save file. Facepalm.
He really needs to learn object oriented programming. This fix is also quite hacky btw. Just put it in the js folder.

There's a decent amount without tentacles. There's only 1 tentacle scene you have to go through, then you can just stay in town and not deal with the tentacles at all while getting human scenes.

Kinda boring. Traps are visible even without trap detection, there isn't really an equipment system from what I could tell so I don't know if items just need to exist in inventory to provide bonuses.
For some reason there are also sidequest areas like a forest and I presume other places where you fight standard RPGM turn-based combat instead.
