Autocorrect or Freudian slip?We also can't actually ask any of YOU guys to create anything that would suit that need at all. We'd, in fact, have to condone it if we were ever asked about it.
Oh, that's right, people say "we don't condone that kind of behavior." My mistake, my mistake. No, we'd have to condemn that kind of behavior.Autocorrect or Freudian slip?
condemn: to declare to be reprehensible, wrong, or evil
condone: to regard or treat something bad as acceptable, forgivable, or harmless
It's of no concern; I don't contemn or consciously confound confabulators who confuse "condemn" and "condone" when conversing. My mistake, my mistake. No, we'd have to condemn that kind of behavior.
Nah, technically not at all. We prefer to call it "What we're allowed to provide." We also can't actually ask any of YOU guys to create anything that would suit that need at all. We'd, in fact, have to condemn it if we were ever asked about it.
Like TheDevian I'm not using twitter either and I don't know about insight, but I can give a little feedback.Just linking a quick twitter poll for myself to figure out how to develop this other game I have in mind in the future I'd love to work with GZone on. Any insight you guys have would be of great help and feel free to write any comments you feel would be of assistance to me. Thanks in advance. You must be registered to see the links
For if you're familiar with the project, Summertime Saga is my biggest influence, thematically wise. The MC would be male, around 22, and have some similar appearances to that of the artist Zack Villere, along with aspects of his personality. I feel his laid-back type of weirdo attitude is the good semblance for the MC to have. Physically built though, he'd probably have a little more mass. He works out, but doesn't walk around in shorts and wife beater like so many MC's as well as other tertiary characters do in some 3D games I know of. Here's a quick guide: I'm banning the words "Dreams, Tales, Desires, Destiny, Fate, Town, City, or Torn" be apart of the game. Thanks for all your volunteer work, a lot of that stuff's been helpful.Like TheDevian I'm not using twitter either and I don't know about insight, but I can give a little feedback.
To be honest, I think "A Saga Of Sorts" is too vague for new people, as well as for those who don't get the reference. It makes _me_ think of Vikings, so if it's staged in that environment count me in ;D Would require at least some sort of time travel tho...
Hard to make suggestions with little detail. Is it a city or village? Big or small cast of characters? Is the protagonist young/old, male/female? Which fetishes are involved?
For staying non-descriptive and tame for Patreon maybe smt. like this?
- Dreams Come True
- Urban Fantasies
- Pleasing The Crowd
- My City And Me
- Unwritten Tales (Make that Tales Uncovered, Unwritten is bad given the subject matter)
- Enticing Stories
- The Homecoming
- Games And Flames
This is more on the nose or rather specific:
- Dreams Cum True, The Homecumming, obvious stuff like that
- A Banging Job
- Unbound Desires
- The Casting (for chapter 1 if issued in chapters)
- In And Back Again
- Sextensive Research
- <Name of the place> + Unrestrained/Unleashed
- Let's Play!
- Bodacious Lines
- Spunk City, City Heat (or anything with City really, spunk came into my mind bcs. of the old TV-Series (Spin City))
- Living The Story
- Muffin Overflow (Muffer rhymes better with buffer but...)
- Manuscripts And Models
- Citizens Satisfied
- Inviting The Neighbors
- Underpants Tale
- Patron Stimulator
- <Protagonist's name> + innuendo rhyme
- But I Like The Way You Think
- Grills And Bills
With having no detail none of the above will fit, but it was fun to do and only about suggestions anyway![]()

Oh, another criteria, I'd rather not the title be a full-on phrase, like a question or statement. Also, I'm very interested in where you guys get your ideas for titles. This guy doesn't really have "Woes" necessarily. He's building the best adult game online, starting from the bottom, to someday get to the top. The story will be like "this is how I did it" kind of storytelling, much in the same My Hero Acadamia states Deku WILL be the number 1 hero one day.I assume the 'saga' part is Summertime Saga?
*Yup*The play style is well designed, even if it is not perfect (nothing is).
Maybe 'Hometown Honeys'? Or has that been done? Hometown Hottie(s) could be an alternate. ...I like alliteration.
'Homecoming King'? Though that kind of implies the whole school sports or at least dance theme.
'What's Happening in the Hometown?'
^ 'Hometown/<Playername> Muffin Overload'?
'Days of My life'
'Don't Sue Me'
'My Fucking Friends'
'(Of) Buddies and Belles'
'The <Town Name> Project'
'My Bros and Hos'
'The Lands of My Life'
'How'd We Get (Back) Here?'
'Oh Woe Is Me'
'The Woes of My Life'
'What Would <MC> Do?'
'Tale of Chasing Tail'
'Chasing Tail Tale'
'The Tail Tale' Some might think that's a furry thing with 'tail' though...
'Screw/Do Them All, and Let <Player> Sort Them Out'
'Why Me?'
'Where Did I Go Wrong?'
'Oi, My Life!'
'FML' [Friends Mean Life]
'YOLO' [You Often Love Others]
Oh well, I tried... lol
Most of the time I start with parodies of other titles or expressions ('Of Buddies and Belles' was 'Of Mice and Men' for example, though dropping the 'of' it could be a play on 'Guys and Dolls', 'Hometown Muffin Overload' was 'Bachman Turner Overdrive'), but not knowing the general plot per say, it was all just whatever random thing popped into my head.Oh, another criteria, I'd rather not the title be a full-on phrase, like a question or statement. You know... "Developing Hero" actually sounds pretty good... even with some sort of subtitle attached. Most of the time I start with parodies of other titles or expressions ('Of Buddies and Belles' was 'Of Mice and Men' for example, though dropping the 'of' it could be a play on 'Guys and Dolls', 'Hometown Muffin Overload' was 'Bachman Turner Overdrive'), but not knowing the general plot per say, it was all just whatever random thing popped into my head.
Oh, so the plot is a guy making game, that narrows our focus a lot!
Using that, the 'woes' could be coding. Programming Woes, or The Art of Code(coding). I did one story where every chapter was 'The Art of ____' something related to the plot that time. The next one I did, I did it like Rocky and Bullwinkle, each chapter ended with 'tune in next time for...' two random silly titles, and then the next chapter would never use either of them, so I needed 3 titles for each chapter! And I hadn't planned it ahead of time, so I had to come up with them all as I was editing them into chapters (was going to be a one shot, my so called 'short story', only 600k+ words...).
'Ecchi Wishes and Programming Dreams' (Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous Joke)
'Coding the World'
'Making a Dream'
'To Ren'py ...and Beyond!'
'Language Lessons' Could also have someone from another country to play that side up as well, as programming languages. I mean, you kind of need a cute Asian girl for that plan, right? Especially if you have a team with girls on it!
'The Hero of Hentai'
'The Erogami' (ero - pervy, gami - spirit/god)
The more details I have, the better I can do.
Not bad, not bad, though yeah, a subtitle would be good. Is the character making the game based on his life, or was that one inception level too low? Or is he making another kind of porn game, like a fantasy, or super hero one, or something? I might have misread that, I do that a lot.You know... Well that's the issue, is that if you focus too heavily on the "Programming" aspect too much, that kind of takes away from the "Making a porn game" aspect. Seriously, developing is ton's and tons of programming, but there's a lot of other elements that require a developer's hand. Also, for the sake of our story, the MC is kinda like "Okay, I have this great idea to make my OWN adult game!" and his friend's like "Okay, well, do you even know how to make one?" and the MC realizes from the very beginning that he only knows how to draw 2D models, backgrounds and even a little bit of animation and provide story "IDEAS". He's an artist, but he doesn't know how to do PR, code, write good dialogue, have smooth animations, or any other large facet of a good developer. So, along with recruiting people and friends from his old hometown to be "Models" for his game to draw and put in his game, he'll also meet people who can help improve and help run his game better. They'll be reliable and helpful assets. Not bad, not bad, though yeah, a subtitle would be good. Is the character making the game based on his life, or was that one inception level too low? Here are a few.

I was just thinking coding for the programming side, as part of the title, of course there are many important aspects. I imagine it progressing as any story with a "strong" protagonist leading it should. He knows his faults and failures, he has a strong motivation behind what he's doing, he listens to his friends and family for advice, he want to achieve his goal without having to force somebody else to suffer or fail themselves, and he has a sense of doing right by others who do right by him.I was just thinking coding for the programming side, as part of the title, of course there are many important aspects. You must be registered to see the links, it's making them a reality, that's the problem!
How about the subtitle, 'Building A Dream'? 'Developing Hero: Building a Dream'. I like the sound of that. 'Development Hero' works too, come to think of it, rolls off the tongue a bit better. Just don't have any 'guitar hero' type minigames!
Some of these questions are technically rhetorical, more to make you think than anything else, but I am happy to continue brainstorming with you as much as you like, so answer whatever you care to.
It also depends on if you want him to do 'every' aspect himself, or get help for some things, and if so, how involved do they get? Does he eventually build a full team, or try to stay a mostly solo act to the end, like Akabur? He could start off trying to do it all himself and then you can either have him build a team, or go out and learn the right skills, getting tutored on the way.
Another thing would be is the entire game revolving around him making one game, or starting with one kind of crummy game, and working up to a masterpiece?
As a good porn game, I also suggest that as few other helpers are male as possible, not only the models, but anyone else. Male friends tend to take away from a good harem game, and make some people leery about how they might get in your way. It's one thing if you are using an establish IP, like Danny here, but for an original game, it's best to limit that as much as you can IMO. It's nice when you have the option to bang basically everyone.
Do you plan to have minigames or grind, or is it going to be all decision based?
Are the romantic relationships going to be mandatory, or optional?
Can you build a 'harem', or will you need to choose between certain people?
Even building up your own character, this could be done by learning skills/stats (grind), or through a decision based system. Both can be done well or poorly.
For him, he won't have to choose something like Daz or Honey Select, being a traditional artist, but you could possibly have him start off with a free program like paint or gimp, and work up to something like photoshop, which costs a lot, but will speed up work and give him much higher quality results. Starting off with full scene pictures (maybe drawn by hand and scanned in), and work up to paper doll sprites. Possibly even getting voice actors, a musician, and so on, if he doesn't learn them himself.
Another idea could be that he learns all of these skills, not so much so he can be a master of all trades, but to be the best team leader he can be.
Yeah, turning the skipping unseen text option on, even just for the intro, is ...uncomfortable at best, I always feel like I missed something, but not enough to read it all again. ;pI imagine it progressing as any story with a "strong" protagonist leading it should. I think there'll be several parallels between how the character's interact and correspond with the MC. They'll all, for the very most part in varying stages and degrees, have their own past relationship with the MC. You were on the money when you named out titles that had to do with the idea of "homecoming." Nobody's seen or really heard of MC minus his two notable friends back home, along with his two brothers and his dad and Mom (who lives in Japan, I'm making clear to the audience it's just NOT gonna happen). So when people come back and visually see him, they'll definitely notice that he kind of cleaned up his act and looks totally different (there'll be a nice introduction to the start of the game that'll explain what his motive is and his backstory, very similar to SS, but mine'll be skippable for returning players.)
A little of what you're explaining is true. He's a college graduate, from say, a state or two over from his original home (name TBD), then he graduates with his degree, moves back in, spends say a month or even the summer churning out backgrounds or kind of "prepping" his game a bit.Yeah, turning the skipping unseen text option on, even just for the intro, is ...uncomfortable at best, I always feel like I missed something, but not enough to read it all again. ;p
So, did I get this right, his family moved away a while back, and now he has come back more or less alone? A bit standard, but it works. Nice to have him living alone to start as well, maybe have him move into a place (even his old place), and turn it into his studio. If you are not going to do the family, best to have them out of the picture so less people beg and plead (I know if there is a hot woman in a sex game, I want the option to do her, I don't care about the details, well, I mean I do, I want a good plot/story, etc. but I mean I don't care about who they are related to, what we have to do to accomplish it, or whatever, though there seem to be some lines for me, can't screw over dad in Milfy City to do the twins, I guess they are not hot enough for me to do that to dad).
Having been in Japan certainly means he could have a strong influence from their VNs and maybe some of his friends could be from there... Perhaps the two you mentioned came with him from there and move in with him in his family's old home, as they plan their new lives (either as a team or not).
