Something from 2024 can't be compatible with the remaster.
, It may be a rebuild but not a remaster,

The main game's Dev is good but forgot just like Disney did the original is always the better one. don't leave out the original paths. Add but don't remove. the DEV's Visuals and story are amazing no doubt, DEV needs to give a detailed walkthrough to overcome the Old to new for the original players to Keep their love for the game without the Loss of the Grind we already put in. or build his own in game cheat mode like others have.

There aren't many changes.
The plot hasn't changed much, it just moves faster. The quality of the renders is a bit better. MC still looks like an imbecile. Added some slightly out of place AI art. All the "controversial" scenes that were the juiciest have been removed. :( The plot hasn't advanced to the previous level.
It's hard to understand what this whole remake was for.
It seems it's time to make a backup of the old version. :HideThePain:

I liked the way things used to be more gradual. Now the girls have become more like typical girls from the every game behaving too lecherous in everything.
On one hand it makes sense if you assume that before the coma the main character already had some kind of relationship with them. On the other hand - it loses the realism, which used to be more.
There`s no more scene with Kate's pussy while she sleeps, and this scene is one of the best in the last version.
I think in pursuit of what all players have been asking for the game will now lose depth.

Respectfully disagree. Actually, I'd argue that a plethora of adult games use the same boring setup as Amnesia: either blatant incest or implied incest. In the latter, usually the mom character is the "landlady" and the sisters are the "roommates" or whatever. It's boring and uncreative--because devs who use this are just using the taboo of incest to create tension, rather than actually come up with any interesting story elements.

Don't get me wrong: some devs use this basic setup well and do weave decent stories with it. But most fail and get lazy with it, or get lost with it. Super Alex is the latter.

"I think in pursuit of what all players have been asking for the game will now lose depth." I think you're mistaking a sloooooow grind or breakdown of the girls' inhibitions for "depth." (I'd argue that the girls' corruption isn't even technically slow; for example, the mom character like immediately starts to offer herself as stimulus for the MC's needed masturbation--another boring trope in this industry). But what is depth in a story? I'll give my take, and maybe you can give yours afterward, if you're willing. I'd say depth arises in a story when the following aspects are included in a story: moral themes/question; a main hero with flaws, an established goal, and a charater arc; well-developed antagonists to compete with the hero and mirror him, reversals or setbacks, well-timed revelations . . . need I go on?

In other words, depth in a story is created by adding the fundamental story structure elements and building upon them as any story progresses. Amnesia hasn't really developed any of those core components, so now the game is mostly just a dude in a house with lecherous girls, which you said you didn't want it to be. It is just like every other game, only its models are way hotter than those in 99 percent of adult games and the scenes are way hotter/well-made. Another sign of Amnesia's lacking depth is that the MC's amnesia is . . . whatever, a nonfactor. A story with depth would have interwoven that amnesia in some meaningful way into the larger story; it would have shown how such a thing matters.

And if it turns out that the MC was actually in relationships with the girls before his coma, then the dev could immediately start to introduce the elements I just listed--thereby providing the much-needed depth and a reason to escalate the adult scenes. That setup would accomplish the opposite of what you claim.

In short, depth is about tension and character conflict and character building, and with Amnesia being an adult game, all such elements should be interwoven with those story elements. That's how depth should be added to adult scenes--they become infused with the energy/tension of whatever story is unfolding. Depth is not the slow corruption of girls. But don't get me wrong, I get what I think you're trying to imply about the slow and sensual scenes. Yes, in a lot of ways, having the right amount of foreplay and teasing can do wonders in adding sexual tension (and I think this was what you were actually trying to say about "depth")--trust me, I've felt that tension in this game's six years of development, but ultimately, basic groping and mutual masturbation can only go so far.

So, in essence, when I hear something like "oh no, if Super Alex just starts escalating the adult scenes, he will break the story and neuter its depth and realism!" I immediately feel compelled to ask: "What story? What realism?"

I'm writing this to support the devs if they ever read here from time to time, although I haven't been keeping up with how the overall reaction to the latest overhaul of an update was but I like a slow burn just like this game has. Otherwise I would simply go watch some plotless porn but that's just my opinion.

I liked the remaster overall. This game was always one of those games to me that I would definitely replay at some point in the future so remaster sounded great. The plot seemed the same give or take (I should say this though, I really disliked that MC is adopted now) and modernisation of some aspects are well implemented. I'm guessing the usage of AI is already taking some heat but I liked it, it feels like the game is more alive. With that being said, as I'm sure the devs are already aware, overusing it disrupts the image and also the soul idea of a visual novel which is IMO; this experience should be like a movie you watch or a book you read if you get what I mean. AI is not that smart (yet) to feel how humans feel therefore it cannot portray these feelings.

The other complaint from the players must be that how long it is taking for him to get to the spicy stuff with main LI's. 5 years is a long time, I agree but I think we are positive that they are just not going to abandon the game cause we know he already finished one game which was Lucky Mark. Supporting him only means faster development times so do that if you can.

I felt like I had to write this cause I worried that they might feel frustrated after the feedback but I am with you guys 100% and I'm sure many others are, they are just too lazy fucks like me to write a paragraph :Kappa:

Also, more Krystal content please!!!

I agree with your thoughts on depth about this game. A lot of things feels rushed but I like to think that scenes are as you said so well-made that it kinda compensates it. Not the depth part but the overall game quality. I mean we can always ask for better but this is just how he writes the the characters/plot, maybe this feels hotter for him. Still it's definitely lacking the depth, character and story arc. I never wrote a scenario before but I think with time you get better at it.

Or you don't and you continue to suck :KEK: like I said I don't know how it works or if it works like training your muscles.

Well said. I'm one of those peeps criticizing the lack of escalation in the adult scenes. However, I, for one, am actually a fan of slow burns and definitely respect them when done right. There are games with slow burns that clearly seem to be progressing from update to update, but then there are slow burns, like in Amnesia, that take forever to go nowhere. The game has been in development in six years and is 12 GB.

After six years of development, a more organized developer could have produced a decent game with the slowest of burns. That's the point. So any discussion, I think, shouldn't be about slow burns vs. quick burns, I think it'd be better focused on the fact that the game has stagnated for so long and how to best get it on track (even though the dev prolly doesn't read stuff here).

Anyway, I appreciated your comment.

I actually don't expect the craziest best stories in adult games, even though I've studied story structure stuff. If a story is halfway decent and progresses, then I'm satisfied, because adult scenes are always tethered to the main story. Can't escalate the scenes without some development in the story. I only point out actual story structure elements when people claim some nonexistent story needs protecting.

I totally agree about the scene quality. They're incredibly hot and well made, in terms of the sensuality and intimacy they generate. They do compensate for the poor story--and I think some confuse those well made scenes for actual good storytelling. But while the dev's scene creation is fantastic, his overall handling of the overarching story is poor. And because of that, his talent has been restrained to the basic groping, fondling, and masturbation scenes for six years' worth of development time.

You could say so. Some content is the same, some got new variations but there is also completely new conent. Just not as spicy as some people might imagine. Since this version only completes lvl 1 I'd assume we at least need to wait for a version that delivers up to lvl 3 to get really spicy.

We'll see if the devs now work more efficient or if it gets the same treatment as before...
