It's a real shame for the dev to hide behind his Patreon and exploit people's credulity to line his own pockets, he could be honest and just cut his act. In other words, no matter how many promising projects turn into scams over time, there's no shortage of them, unfortunately.
Cowards will be cowards. After constantly dealing with these scummy Devs on Steam (go to our Patreon! gib more moneyz, cash grab "support/wallpaper" DLCs, Walkthrough DLCS (when some AVNs on Steam give you it for free and is in the game itself) go to our discord etc) and now, this Dev with his latest post on Steam, people aren't happy.
From Steam
"Wait, so I bought the game in early access to help support the studio and now they are asking for $20 more to get the full game??? This is trash. Damn, I really liked this game too but no way can i support low down money grabs like this. Bad move "superalex"
"If you want to be among those who participate in voting and suggesting ideas for new bonus scenes, or if you want to be able to see them in the game, then this opportunity is open for any $20+ subscribers on Patreon.
Yeah, the term for this is "bait-and-switch".
People didn't buy an early-access game on Steam in order to find that half the functionality is only available if you buy it again off-site.
I know Steam is pretty easy going when it comes to enforcing its policies on off-site monetisation, but hard to imagine that this isn't butting right up against what is or isn't acceptable.
This is the sort of shenanigans that gets games reported as scams via their store pages."
"Agree with previous comment. In addition to the fact that the release of new versions will be delayed due to the implementation of donators' wishes, people who paid for the game on steam will not receive this content either. And why did we pay for this stump then?"
So, I think I am close to not buying anymore AVN games on Steam cause of these Devs. I have maybe 3 more that I plan to buy, after that, I will just be playing everything on here. Tired of giving these Devs my money. I feel bad for the Patrons that give these money hungry Devs their hard-earned money.
