You have to wonder at some people's grip on reality. IT seems logical to assume that the need to turn up the brightness might hint that the image is too dark. Also if you have turned up the brightness of your monitor then you aren't looking at the stock image but the brightened version....Is this a serious comment? If you have to increase the brightness of your monitor, that means that some of the renders are too dark.
Are you really going to tell me you don't get how the render below is so dark that it distracts from the quality of the renders?

Even though the mesh does obviously make her face darker the rest of her is still too dark anyway. I don't mind artistic lighting but this is just badly lit and rendered.
