I think it's a bug because it happened to me as well and didn't show any progress at some point. It eventually disappeared.

as someone whos played this game since it came out i will say that a remaster/rework was inevitable . the game was kind of a mess since 2022/3 . even though this took 6 months its not that bad cause iirc the very 1st update of this game took equally as long and all that was added the 1st iris scene . atleast this remaster adds pretty decent scenes for the main girls . as for the AI stuff its defnitly unnecessary. im glad like majority of them were used for minor scenes . as for the future it looks kind of good since now we know what "level 2 scenes" are. level 1 scenes contain quite a bit of sexual content so level 2 probably contains sex . they dev said they want to release monthly updates from now on . if they can do that id say this game is heading in the right direction .

Normally I would agree that a build up with teasing is good... but not after all these years. This has nothing to do with erotica or fucking the family in an hour, it is just bad work. I supported the dev in the past when they first released the game, like I do with every game I like. But I stopped years ago because it was obvious they went nowhere with it. Late updates, lacking feedback, lacking content... That is too much giving the time.

The remake has some playing around with animations but did not progress anything beyond the original, the dev wastes time on things that adds nothing and it shows. I bet next update there will be excuses that not everything could be added or it will be delayed again.

In regards to incest, the original gave the option to play it as such. Now the dev goes the extra mile to remove it narratively eventhough they added the new way of changing relationships making it a waste of time again. So of course incest fans like me will be disappointed since they were not honest.

It's either the one part where you need to go to the basement at one time of the day or the part where you need to click on the checklist in the basement and "sign" it to trigger a scene with Alexandra. Depends on where exactly you are in her quest.

Normally developers for this niche genre of games have some semblance of passion for the game they are making and I'm just not feeling that passion from what the developer posts. it's all about the numbers and steps and how much work and effort everything is taking, Or long tangents with little baring to the actual game. Even the remaster from what I've read seems to mostly be a make work project since they seem to be avoiding work on the more complex side of continuing the actual game.

Arguably I'm going off the minimal stuff I have read since checking out on the game after they seem to have forgotten the steam side for the most part, and some story elements I didn't care for. I won't be playing to actually check it out myself until whenever they decide to update steam. So everything I can go on currently is from comments.

Hopefully now that this little distraction is done the game progresses and I'm proven wrong.

Yeah, I can't really tell if it's burnout or what. A lot of peeps have thrown out the ole term "milker," but I don't think that is the case here.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's more just from a lack of preparing or outlining the main story. I've worked in editing for years, helping people to develop novels, and when writers don't have a solid outline and decide to make things up as they go, they often end up writing huuuuge swaths of text that end up simply not fitting. Then they have to restart/rewrite. And this causes burnout, just from frustration.

I would imagine it's no less challenging in developing these games. Probably even harder, because not only do devs have to write all the actual dialogue and story text, but they also have to do the coding . . . and then the renders and animations. Developing these games seems like a herculean task, and it seems like sooo much could go astray without a solid gameplan.

But I think devs of adult games often overlook how critical the storytelling aspect is. As I've said elsewhere, the stories don't need to be crazy good, but a general roadmap of the story seems imperative, because at the end up the day, all the sex scenes and coding are downstream of the core story. In other words, the sex scenes can develop/escalate only as far as the stories develop.

I think what happened is that Super Alex, like many devs, sat down to create this expansive, super detailed sandbox game, where the grinds for the girls would be slow and sweet, but didn't bother to outline the story in much detail. And now, yeah, probably suffering from burnout, just from being lost.
